Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Project Delivery Manager in Austin, Texas and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do
Manage teams for information technology projects that work across all phases of the Agile and Waterfall lifecycle for the design, development, testing, and implementation of Extract Transform Load (ETL), Analytical and Business reports, and Data Warehouse solutions for enterprise-level clients. Manage multiple Database Administration teams for information technology projects in deployments of coding, cloning, refreshing, patching, backups, and restore of multiple middleware components. Coordinate with technical and functional teams, and be able to understand the criticality of activities and schedule the same accordingly. Manage analysis, design, programming, and testing for presentation, reporting and data ETL layers of enterprise data warehouse. Manage weekly cold backups of database and perform database recovery activities for information technology projects. Perform role of counselor and coach; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for teams and staff in local offices. Provide expertise in activities, including maintaining instances, maintenance of file system, and taking appropriate backups for security and consistency. Improve internal processes, and promote knowledge sharing in the team, by contributing to the community of practice, blogs, and other forms of market eminence.
--80% Travel required nationally.

Requirements
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 3 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) and 5 years of progressive related work experience. Position requires 3 years of related work experience in each of the following:
- Working in multidimensional data modeling, including star schemas, snowflakes, normalized and denormalized models utilizing erwin Data Modeler, DataGrip, ER/Studio, SQuirreL SQL Client, Lucidchart, MySQL Workbench, and Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler;
- Overseeing major database administration tasks including root cause analysis, and troubleshooting, optimizing, and monitoring connections by leveraging Toad, SQL Developer, DBeaver, MongoDB Compass, AppDynamics, Splunk, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) CloudWatch;
- Architecting, developing, testing, and documenting Data Integration and Migration ETL solutions and frameworks by employing Python, Alteryx, AWS Lambda, AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), and Shell scripting;
- Migrating Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and NoSQL databases to AWS and Azure Cloud environments from legacy data centers;
- Developing and maintaining contact with top decision makers, managing aspects of the proposal development process, and managing the development of proposal pricing strategies;
- Working with client CIO organization and business teams to develop, review, finalize, and document Business Intelligence including reporting and dashboard requirements based on the identified key performance metrics utilizing SQL, Tableau, and Amazon Redshift; and
- Overseeing database administration tasks using PL/SQL, T-SQL, Toad, SQL Developer, and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), for development and test databases including planning, developing, testing, and documenting backup and recovery procedures, database version upgrades, and export and import procedures for data dumps.

Other
Hours: M-F, 40 hours/week.
