Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Tax Manager in Los Angeles, CA.
Work You’ll Do
Align global effective tax rate reduction and efficient global cash utilization with overall business strategy. Assist multinational clients with integrating tax planning into overall business strategy and complying with both U.S. and international regulatory requirements. Concentrate efforts on international compliance, research, consulting and planning issues. Diagnose, solve, develop, and implement clients' tax needs. Direct complex tax research, formulate tax-planning strategies, and perform tax reviews. Advise U.S. and foreign multinational companies on the tax implications of their international operations as well as coordinate U.S. tax laws with foreign tax laws to develop an optimal worldwide tax strategy. Coordinate assignments by Tax Consultants and Seniors and provide leadership, counseling, and career guidance.
Requirements
- Master's (or higher) degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, Business Administration or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
- Three (3) years of experience as a Tax Manager or related occupation gaining experience performing tax planning, reporting and compliance for U.S. multinational corporations.
- Experience must include three (3) years of:
- Preparing and reviewing US and International compliance filings, including Forms 1065, 1120, 1120-F, 5471, 5472, 8858, 8865, 1118, 5713, 8990, 8991, 8992, and 8993 using Gosystem, CCH, and CorpTax, as well as related disclosures;
- Preparing and reviewing E&P, Subpart F, GILTI, FTC, FDII, and similar calculations for tax compliance and annual/quarterly provision purposes;
- Analyzing tax law changes, court decisions, proposed legislation, and other tax related developments;
- Preparing modeling based on US tax reform proposals on tax provisions;
- Preparing and reviewing IRC section 861 expense allocation and apportionment calculation; preparing U.S. informational filings, including 1042, 1042-S, FinCEN Form 114, and Form 8938;
- Assisting with tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate initiatives;
- Providing tax consultation services to clients, including strategic acquisition, dispositions, mergers & acquisitions, and/or divestitures; and
- Identifying and proposing tax planning opportunities to clients by analyzing clients' data, and leading client engagements and training, counseling, and mentoring junior team members.
- Position requires approximately 25% domestic travel.
- Salary: $126,630.00 - $235,170.00/year.
