Work you’ll do

The IT Operations Analyst role is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of TTO applications and systems. This role collaborates with a team of IT professionals, coordinates with other departments, and implements best practices to support business objectives.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the maintenance, monitoring, and support of servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance and security.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand technology needs and deliver effective solutions.
  • Coordinate IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans are in place and tested.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to IT strategy.
  • Create and maintain documentation of operational processes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans by providing insights from operational analysis.
  • Examine current operational processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret data related to operations, using it to develop reports and identify trends.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues, working with relevant teams to implement solutions.
  • Work with various departments to understand their needs, gather information, and ensure alignment on operational goals. Assist with operational communications to leadership as well as other general communications.

The Team

Deloitte Tax LLP's Tax Transformation Office (TTO) is responsible for the design, development, and deployment of innovative, enterprise technology, tools, and standard processes to support the delivery of tax services. The TTO team focuses on enhancing Deloitte Tax LLP’s ability to deliver comprehensive, value-added, and efficient tax services to our clients. It is a dynamic team with professionals of varying backgrounds from tax technical, technology development, change management, Six Sigma, and project management. The team consults and executes on a wide range of initiatives involving process and tool development and implementation including training development, engagement management, tool design, and implementation.

Qualifications

Required

  • Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 – 3 days per week.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • 1+ years’ of experience in supporting IT infrastructure operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining servers, networks, and business-critical applications within a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience supporting IT operations and project management, with a strong grasp of operational principles, best practices, and process improvement in dynamic environments.
  • Hands-on experience applying IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks to manage service requests, incident tickets, and ensure adherence to SLAs.
  • Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver small- to mid-size IT projects, including managing timelines, budgets, and cross-functional resources.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Limited sponsorship may be available.
  • One of the following active accreditations obtained, in process, or willing and able to obtain:
    • Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA
    • If not CPA eligible:
      • Licensed Attorney
      • Enrolled Agent
      • Technology Certifications:
        • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
        • Certified in Risk and Information Systems Controls (CRISC)
        • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
        • Certified SAFe® Product Owner / Product Manager
        • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
        • ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board)
        • Microsoft Azure
        • Project Management Professional (PMP)
        • Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt)

Preferred

  • Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX).
  • Azure DevOps exposure
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in process improvement methodologies: (Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong listening, interpersonal, and facilitation skills
  • Able to interact effectively with professionals at all levels and communicate recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience working with and influencing as part of a team.
  • Motivated, resourceful, and dependable
  • Well organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize multiple, ongoing projects
  • Able to respond quickly to high-priority deadlines with little lead-time and adaptable to direction changes.
