Position Summary

Our Deloitte AI & Engineering team to transform technology platforms, drive innovation, and help make a significant impact on our clients’ success. You’ll work alongside talented professionals reimagining and reengineering operations and processes that are critical to businesses. Your contributions can help clients improve financial performance, accelerate new digital ventures, and fuel growth through innovation.

Work You’ll Do

  • Design, implement, and optimize scalable data platforms—such as data lakes, data warehouses, ETL pipelines, and batch/real-time data processing systems—according to business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Manage end-to-end project lifecycles by scoping requirements, allocating tasks, and ensuring timely delivery of solutions. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to translate needs into robust technical solutions.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior data engineers, guide code reviews, promote standardization, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Encourage knowledge sharing and career growth.
  • Develop and enforce best practices for data quality, security, privacy, lineage, and compliance. Collaborate on data cataloging, documentation, and metadata management to ensure trustworthy and accessible data assets.
  • Continuously assess emerging tools, frameworks, and platforms (e.g., cloud-native services, streaming tools, orchestration platforms) for potential adoption. Lead proofs of concept to recommend technologies that add business value.
  • Establish monitoring strategies for system health, data pipeline performance, and cost efficiency. Proactively resolve bottlenecks, tune workloads, and deliver recommendations for infrastructure or process optimization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Active Secret security clearance required.
  • Ability to travel 10-50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • 7 + years of experience in Data Engineering, and Data Engineering Management.
  • 3 + years of experience utilizing Databricks, PySpark, and Oracle.
  • 2 + years of experience within the Advana platform.

Preferred:

  • Previous federal consulting experience strongly perferred.
  • Masters Degree.
  • Previous experience with SQL, R, Tableau, and Qlik strong perferred.
