Deloitte’s Healthcare Consulting practice is one of the largest in the world. Our practice delivers distinctive services to the country’s largest national and regional health plans, 10 of the 10 largest healthcare systems and 8 of the 10 largest for-profit healthcare systems in the US. Our healthcare practice seeks to transform the delivery of care, modernize the industry and enhance our clients’ business and operational models.

Work you'll do

As a Healthcare Solutions Manager specializing in Epic ECSA (Epic Client Systems Administrator) on the AI & Engineering – Industry Solutions team, you will be responsible for leading implementation, configuration, and operations of Epic’s Windows tiers with a focus on security, compliance, and performance. You will:

  • Implement, configure, and operate the Epic Windows tiers (e.g., Hyperspace, Interconnect, Web/IIS components), ensuring compatibility with Epic guidance and client standards.
  • Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and hotfix deployments for Epic Windows components; develop and maintain runbooks and SOPs.
  • Design and optimize monitoring, alerting, backup, and disaster recovery for Epic Windows tiers to meet availability and RTO/RPO objectives.
  • Automate administration tasks using PowerShell and related tooling to improve repeatability, reliability, and release velocity.
  • Collaborate with Epic analysts, infrastructure/endpoint teams, security, and clinical stakeholders to capture requirements, manage risks, and deliver on milestones.
  • Support cloud adoption for Epic-adjacent Windows workloads in AWS or Azure, including landing zones, image management, configuration baselines, and cost optimization.
  • Implement best practices for hardening, identity and access (e.g., Active Directory/Entra ID), network segmentation, and HIPAA-aligned security controls for Windows tiers.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members; document designs and operational procedures; stay current on Epic platform changes and Windows/cloud technologies.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
  • Epic ECSA certification
  • 3+ years of experience implementing, configuring, and operating Epic Windows tiers in production environments
  • 3+ years of experience administering Microsoft Windows Server, including IIS configuration and patching
  • 3+ years of experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • 2+ years of experience scripting automation using PowerShell for deployment, configuration, or monitoring tasks
  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred:

  • Experience operating Epic Windows components (e.g., Hyperspace, Interconnect, Web/IIS, print services), including upgrades and cutovers
  • Experience with AWS for Windows (e.g., EC2/AMI management, Systems Manager, FSx, CloudWatch) and/or Azure for Windows (e.g., Azure VM, Arc, Log Analytics)
  • Experience with endpoint and configuration management (e.g., Group Policy, Intune/Endpoint Manager, configuration baselines)
  • Experience implementing high availability, backup/restore, and disaster recovery solutions for Windows workloads
  • Experience with security hardening and identity integration (Active Directory/Entra ID, RBAC, credential vaulting, SSL/TLS certificate management)
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA) and associated security controls

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $137,400 to $253,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
