Engineering as a Service provides complete design, implementation, and technology operations, leveraging our core engineering expertise. We transform engineering teams, modernize technology, and deliver complex programs with a product engineering approach. Our flexible delivery models—traditional teams, pools, or pods—are tailored to each client’s needs, offering engineering-led advisory, implementation, and operational capabilities to accelerate innovation.

Work You'll Do

You will bring hands-on technical development experience with knowledge of AI and emerging technologies as part of our core Software Engineering team. You’ll be responsible for working as a team member creating solutions to help our clients solve their problems, gain market share, improve operations and grow their business. You’ll play roles as needed, from leading functional analysts to working alongside technical architects and other developers. You’ll do the following:

  • Manage day-to-day project execution working with your established teams.
  • Establish technical design/development guidelines, templates and standards.
  • Interact regularly with other stakeholders not limited to end-user clients, project management teams, development teams, offshore development teams, testing and other cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key internal clients, organize and participate in and lead aspects of the development process and contribute to the development of key technology strategies.

Qualifications

Specialist Seniors are required to have:

  • 5+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience, in a hands-on development role, working across borders and as an integral team member;
  • Experience with asynchronous processing;
  • 5+ years’ full system lifecycle development experience;
  • 5+ years’ hands-on experience working with Python, including FastAI or Flask;
  • 4+ years’ experience working with RESTful APIs, which should include asynchronous processing experience;
  • 4+ years’ experience building microservices and scalable APIs using Python and Java/Node.js;
  • 5+ years’ working in a client-facing development role;
  • Experience with Large Language Model (LLM) solutions;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or the equivalent experience;
  • Ability to travel up to 50% based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

In addition, successful Consultants will have the following preferred background:

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, the ability to handle difficult situations, multiple initiatives and rapidly changing priorities;
  • Experience working on large scale projects;
  • Experience with industry standard System Development Life Cycle methodologies;
  • Industry recognized technology certifications;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team;
  • Strong presentation skills, including experience using tools such as MS Project, Visio and PowerPoint.

Wages + Salary

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $107,600 to $198,400. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
