The Manager, Generative AI Platform Delivery is responsible for the execution, delivery quality, and operational stability of enterprise Generative AI backend platforms. Reporting to a Senior Manager, this role translates platform strategy into actionable delivery plans, coordinates Backend Platform SMEs, and ensures GenAI platforms are built, deployed, and operated reliably at enterprise scale.

This role does not own long-term platform strategy, formal people management, or primary client relationships. Instead, it serves as the technical delivery and operations lead, accountable for sequencing work correctly, actively managing delivery risks, and maintaining stable, secure production platforms.

What will your typical day look like?

Platform Delivery & Execution Ownership

  • Own day-to-day delivery execution across enterprise Generative AI backend platforms, including Microsoft Copilot Studio and Google Gemini.
  • Translate platform strategy and priorities into executable delivery plans and milestones.
  • Coordinate work across Backend Platform SMEs to manage dependencies and delivery risks.
  • Own sprint-level execution, short-term prioritization, and delivery forecasting.

    Technical Oversight & Decision Support
  • Provide technical oversight and challenge for backend architecture, API design, and GenAI platform integrations.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards for scalability, security, observability, and reuse.
  • Act as a technical escalation point for design trade-offs and cross-team conflicts.
  • Ensure backend platforms remain decoupled and reusable across multiple business domains.

    Operational Ownership & Platform Stability
  • Accountable for day-to-day operational health of GenAI backend platforms in production.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for platform incidents and coordinate response.
  • Drive continuous improvement through incident learnings and platform enhancements.
  • Monitor and improve platform reliability, performance, and security posture.

    Platform Enablement & Standards Enforcement
  • Ensure standardized onboarding, deployment pipelines, and operational practices are applied consistently.
  • Drive automation for infrastructure provisioning and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Enforce standards related to authentication, API management, and secrets handling.

    Collaboration & Leadership Support
  • Partner closely with the Senior Manager to provide execution-level insights and risk visibility.
  • Collaborate with architecture, security, and governance teams to meet enterprise requirements.
  • Support stakeholder conversations with clear delivery status and trade-off options.
  • Lead through influence rather than formal people management.
