Work You’ll Do

As a Consultant on the project, you will:

  • Execute end-to-end health benefits processing for new hires, open enrollment, Qualified Life Events (QLEs), terminations, and coverage changes.
  • Verify and validate participant documentation to confirm dependent eligibility and life event evidence (e.g., marriage, birth, other QLE documents).
  • Manage benefits cases through intake-to-closure workflows, including task tracking, timely status updates, and escalation of risks or blockers.
  • Maintain accurate benefits data across the benefits platform, payroll systems, and carrier feeds by identifying and correcting discrepancies.
  • Perform reconciliation activities to ensure enrollment elections align to payroll deductions and to resolve carrier discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with payroll, carriers, and internal teams to investigate issues, communicate outcomes, and meet processing deadlines and service expectations.
  • Provide operational insights and recommendations to improve workflow efficiency and identify automation opportunities based on recurring case trends.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • 3+ years of experience delivering benefits plans for clients in roles such as a product manager, benefits operations manager, benefits analysts, benefits administration, business analysis etc.
  • 2 + years of experience with enrollment processing, QLE handling, and case management systems.
  • Ability to travel 0-50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred:
  • Prior experience supporting Federal, State, or Local benefits products preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting Large employer environments strongly perferred.
  • Familiarity with: benefit administration platforms and HRIS systems.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $88,800 to $148,000.
