This Senior Consultant role is designed for a high-performing digital strategist and marketing analytics professional who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and is energized by solving complex business problems at the intersection of strategy, data, and marketing operations. Offered as a fixed-term contract, the role embeds you directly within a client engagement in the cloud marketing space, where you will operate with the independence, executive presence, and structured thinking of a seasoned consultant.

You will function as a force multiplier for senior client leadership, serving as a trusted strategic advisor, owning executive communications, and ensuring continuity of vision across a complex, matrixed organization. This role is best suited for someone who is equally comfortable shaping go-to-market strategy, directing analytical workstreams, and translating complex marketing performance data into clear recommendations that drive decisions at the leadership level. You anticipate problems before they become crises, bring solutions rather than just issues, and hold yourself to an uncompromising standard of quality on every deliverable.

Please note: Working hours for this role are aligned to the Pacific Time Zone.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior client stakeholders at the Senior Manager, Director to Vice President level, helping clients to frame strategic initiatives and options, evaluate tradeoffs, and make informed decisions.
  • Structure ambiguous leadership questions into clear hypotheses, research agendas, and recommendations using consulting-style problem-solving frameworks.
  • Lead the development of the periodic and annual marketing strategy by synthesizing internal performance data, external market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer insights.
  • Conduct structured market and competitor research to sharpen points of view and tailoring recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Partner with market research and cross-functional teams across marketing, go-to-market, product, risk, governance and finance to gather inputs, pressure-test ideas, align on strategic direction, and translate best practices into scalable playbooks and standardized workflows.
  • Translate technical analysis and data-heavy inputs into concise, actionable narratives suited to executive consumption.
  • Build and deliver executive-grade presentations and strategy briefs, and leadership comms with strong command of narrative structure, visual clarity, and logical flow for both executive-decision making and downstream alignment.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to apply artificial intelligence solutions, including generative artificial intelligence and automation tools, across strategic planning, research, content development, and analytical workflows to increase the speed and quality of outputs and share reusable use cases and assets to drive adoption at scale.

About the team

This is your opportunity to work in the Technology and Transformation practice at Deloitte, embedded within a team that goes far beyond traditional business process outsourcing. We work shoulder-to-shoulder with clients, constantly adapting to the pace of change to ideate, innovate, and embed continuous advantage at the heart of their operations.

Our current engagement sits at the center of one of the most ambitious marketing strategy and operations transformations in the global technology sector. You will join a high-performing Deloitte team operating alongside senior client leadership, trusted as an integrated member of the client’s strategy function, not an arm’s-length advisor. You will also be part of building something new: a strategy and operations capability being stood up from the ground floor, which means your contributions will have direct, visible impact from day one.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in digital strategy, marketing analytics, marketing science, or strategy and operations, developed in a consulting firm, agency, or in-house technology or cloud marketing environment.
  • Proven ability to lead strategic projects end-to-end: framing the problem, structuring the analysis, aligning stakeholders, and delivering a clear recommendation to senior leadership without needing to be told how.
  • Strong executive storytelling skills, with experience translating complex marketing performance data, market trends, and competitive insights into decision-ready narratives for Director and Vice President level audiences using Google Slides, Docs, and email.
  • Hands-on technical fluency across the modern marketing data stack, including SQL for data extraction and validation, experience with ETL pipelines or data integration workflows, and proficiency in dashboarding platforms such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or equivalent tools for working with large, complex datasets.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing frameworks and platforms, including marketing funnel measurement, campaign performance analytics, audience segmentation, first-party data strategy, and go-to-market planning across paid, programmatic, and digital channels.
  • Experience directing analytical or technical resources: you set the strategic context, define the questions, quality-check the outputs, and translate findings into business implications.
  • Comfort operating in large, matrixed, fast-moving technology organizations: you manage competing stakeholder priorities, adapt quickly to shifting business needs, and maintain momentum across multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in artificial intelligence productivity tools such as Gemini, Copilot, or equivalent platforms, with genuine curiosity about building new workflows and not just using existing ones.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the technology sector, ideally within a large-scale marketing, cloud, or enterprise software organization.
  • Familiarity with MarTech ecosystems and digital experience platforms, including content management systems, stakeholder management and customer data platforms, analytics platforms, and data activation tools such as Google Analytics 4, Adobe Analytics, Hightouch, or equivalent.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms and data warehousing technologies such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, or equivalent environments.
  • Familiarity with operating model design, content supply chain governance, or digital transformation roadmap development in a multi-market or global organization.
  • Experience supporting or leading annual planning processes, including budget allocation, strategic prioritization, and executive-level governance frameworks.
  • Experience leading teams or organizations through change, process transformation, or the build-out of a new function.
  • Experience building or utilizing artificial intelligence, building agents or automated workflows to reduce manual effort and scale operational support.
  • A Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Marketing Analytics, or equivalent advanced degree is a plus but not required.
