Work you’ll do
We are seeking a dynamic and accomplished Lead Data Expert to spearhead data strategy and innovation for Personnel & Readiness (P&R) enterprise analytics. Serving as a senior subject matter expert, this individual will play a pivotal role in driving transformational analytics initiatives, with a strong focus on consulting, technology enablement, and stakeholder impact.
Additionally, you will be responsible:
- Technical Leadership: Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced analytics solutions. Guide teams in data wrangling, data architecture, automation processes, and validation protocols to ensure high-integrity insights.
- Consultative Solutioning: Engage with stakeholders to map complex business processes, develop tailored analytics roadmaps, and champion data-driven decision-making.
- Algorithmic Innovation: Oversee the development of forecasting models and algorithmic solutions using large-scale datasets to identify trends, model future scenarios, and recommend actionable strategies.
- Mentorship & Team Development: Mentor team members, fostering growth in technical competencies, algorithmic thinking, and solutioning best practices. Lead by example as both a team leader and senior individual contributor.
- Data Visualization: Innovate and deliver advanced data visualization tools and platforms, enabling stakeholders to effectively interpret complex results and drive enterprise-wide adoption.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with leadershipto ensure alignment with enterprise data priorities and federal compliance standards.
- Project Ownership: Manage the full lifecycle of technical projects, from requirements gathering and solution architecture to hands-on delivery and post-implementation evaluation. Provide technical guidance to ADEs and AEMs on effective use of agentic infrastructure

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or Engineering
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Active Secret level security clearance
- 7+ years of professional experience
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with each of the following technologies: Databricks, Oracle, PySpark/SparkR, Python, SQL, R, Tableau, Qlik
- Ability to be on-site 30-50% of the time in Washington D.C.
Preferred:
- Proven experience in data consulting, technical project leadership, and delivering end-to-end solutions for large, multifaceted federal clients.
- Demonstrated ability to wrangle, integrate, and analyze data from multiple, large data sources.
- Expertise in designing and building data architectures, driving automation, ensuring data quality, and developing sophisticated algorithms that support mission-focused decision-making.
- Strong background in process mapping, technical mentoring, and fostering high-performing analytics teams.
- Advanced skills in developing and deploying data visualization solutions that make complex analyses actionable for executive audiences.
- Outstanding communication, collaboration, and consulting skills, with an ability to influence across diverse technical and functional groups. Track record of staying current with rapidly evolving AI tools and contributing improvements proactively
