Work You’ll Do

This practitioner serves as a business advisor to account teams on all facets of Federal contract administration activities and handles complex/strategic high value sub-contractual matters that have a direct impact on Firm revenue generation and retention. They practice independent judgment and analysis of significant issues and identifies resolutions and provide advisory level subcontracts support to account leadership that shapes and strengthens win strategies on Federal engagements. Additionally, they will perform strategic subcontract negotiations and ensure completion of various subcontract projects. Some additional responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and analyzing subcontracts matters to ensure that they are understood and to inform team’s strategy.
  • Compiling and analyzes subcontract related data, enters data in multiple internal databases; and maintaining historical information and documentation.
  • Proactively identifying and analyzing subcontracting issues, solving standard/routine subcontract activities.
  • Keeping teams fully informed on all subcontract standards, plans and policies.
  • Developing and maintaining subcontract files in accordance with applicable governmental regulations and Deloitte’s procurement policies and practices.
  • Ensuring the timely filing and reporting of subcontract data entry into various systems and monitoring of data updates.
  • Guiding and coordinating proposals and award activities for assigned subcontracts; Ability to provide guidance to internal teams relating to all phases of the subcontract lifecycle is essential.
  • Independently conducting reviews of complex subcontract actions in all phases of the subcontract life cycle - developing and implementing tactical action plans to address risks and opportunities.
  • Reviewing Federal solicitations and provides support for Subcontractor Requests for Proposals.
  • Tracking and communicating the keys issues and status of contracts portfolio relative to subcontract requirements.
  • Developing and implementing process improvement strategies and provides training to account team as well as other GPSC professionals.

The GPS Contracts Sector Team comprises practitioners across the US and India, dedicated to supporting all prime contract management needs for our internal and external clients.

Operational Excellence provides essential business and operational support, enabling the GPS Consulting and Advisory practices to deliver exceptional client service. We play a critical role in driving meaningful operational change as the GPS business evolves. By collaborating with our leaders, we are reimagining the future of operations, fundamentally redesigning services, and incorporating new technologies to propel GPS into the future.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in contracts and/or subcontracts
  • 1+ years of experience with the Federal Acquisition Lifecycle
  • 1+ years of experience with MS Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • 1+ years of experience with Federal Contracting regulations
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred

  • CPSR experience
  • Experience supporting the Federal Health subcontracts
  • Strong consultative and communication skills
  • Demonstrated desire for continuous professional growth
  • Ability to operate in a demanding executive level environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with teams

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $73,100 to $121,800.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
