Position Summary

Deloitte is seeking a Project Senior Consultant of Strategy & Transformation to support defense and government clients with analysis of manufacturing systems, supplier networks, capacity constraints, and industrial ecosystem health. This role supports high-priority mission work by translating technical and market findings into clear insights for government stakeholders and senior decision-makers. The ideal candidate brings experience in defense industrial analysis, market and sector research, and written and verbal communication tailored to non-technical audiences.

Work you'll do

As Project Senior Consultant, Strategy, Growth, and Transformation, you will be responsible for…

  • Drive strategic initiatives and governance management focused on the Defense Working Capital Fund (WCF) and Supply Chain Management
  • Conduct in-depth research at the intersection of DoD Financial Management Regulation (FMR) and Supply Chain policy, and recommending transformative solutions to streamline and modernize these policies
  • Oversee and guide special projects addressing critical topics such as Defense Supply pricing, the Planning Programming Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) trade space, and the allocation of spare parts for new weapon systems

Our team supports high-impact defense and government missions through data-driven analysis of industrial base capacity, supply chains, and market dynamics. Professionals in this practice help clients evaluate manufacturing ecosystems, identify constraints and investment opportunities, and translate technical findings into actionable recommendations for senior decision-makers. The work is fast-paced, mission-focused, and closely aligned to strategic priorities across the defense industrial landscape.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Active Secret security clearance required
  • 5+ years of experience in Financial Management within the defense industry
  • 1+ years of experience with Defense Working Capital Fund
  • 1+ years of experience in defense logistics
  • Ability to work on-site in Alexandria, VA up to 5 days/week (typical week 2–3 days on-site)

Preferred:

  • Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) certification
  • Experience working with the Defense Working Capital Fund and Supply Management Activity (SMA)
