Position Summary

Are you an experienced technology leader who thrives in high-visibility, mission-critical environments? Deloitte is seeking an Engineering Delivery Manager II (SCD Applications Service Manager) to lead delivery and operational performance for competition data applications supporting a complex global sporting event environment. This role will oversee planning, integration, testing, and live operations across platforms that distribute accurate and timely competition data to broadcasters, digital channels, and key stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings strong application delivery leadership, operational discipline, and the ability to manage risk and issue resolution in fast-paced conditions.

Work you'll do

As an Engineering Delivery Manager II on the AI & Engineering team, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the delivery and operational integrity of competition data applications, including commentator information, web and mobile results platforms, and common codes services
  • Directing planning, integration, testing, and live event operations to support accurate, timely, and consistent distribution of competition data
  • Coordinating with sport, broadcast, and technology stakeholders to manage dependencies, resolve issues, and support reliable application performance during critical operational windows
  • Communicating status, risks, and escalation items to engagement leadership, project team members, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Leading workstreams focused on process improvement, operational optimization, and implementation of leading practice workflows

We tailor our delivery approach to each client’s priorities, operating environment, and transformation goals.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or another technology-focused discipline; alternatively, equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, systems integration, and information technology management
  • Experience managing delivery and integration of competition data applications across multiple platforms, including web, mobile, and broadcast systems
  • Experience supporting live operations during critical event or production windows
  • Experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating technical and operational risks across application portfolios
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting business-critical applications in a live event, sports, media, or broadcast environment
  • Experience with release planning, test coordination, and production readiness activities
  • Experience leading issue triage, incident management, and root cause resolution for application environments
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders across business, operations, and technology teams
  • Experience leading teams or workstreams in large-scale technology delivery programs
  • Experience with application monitoring, service management, or operational reporting tools

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to California and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $130,000 to $180,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
