Position Summary
Deloitte’s Regulatory, Risk & Forensic practice helps organizations navigate complex risk issues, evolving regulations, and sensitive information matters with confidence. As part of this team, you will support clients in responding to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act (PA) requests through defensible, technology-enabled processes. This role offers the opportunity to apply investigative and records-processing experience in a mission-focused environment while contributing to high-quality client service.
Work you'll do
As a Project Senior Consultant, Forensics and Investigations on the Government & Public Services team, you will be responsible for:
- Analyze federal records to identify information requiring redaction under FOIA and Privacy Act requirements
- Prepare documentation and draft responses to FOIA/PA requests in support of review and release decisions
- Coordinate proposed disclosures of information with appropriate stakeholders to support accurate and timely responses
- Maintain records, case documentation, and tracking materials associated with request processing activities
- Support document review and eDiscovery efforts related to investigations, litigation, and information requests

The team
Deloitte’s Government & Public Services practice serves federal, state, and local government agencies, as well as public higher education institutions, with services designed to help them address complex mission and operational challenges. Within GPS, the Forensic, Discovery, & Financial Crime offering supports clients in areas such as anti-money laundering, discovery, investigations, and business disputes. Teams in this offering combine domain knowledge, investigative experience, and technology-enabled approaches to help clients respond to evolving threats and information challenges.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance
- Ability to work onsite in Washington, DC, 5 days per week
- 3+ years of experience with electronic discovery (eDiscovery)
- 3+ years of experience processing FOIA requests
- Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred:
- Experience with database and file operations
- Experience supporting litigation matters
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Washington DC, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Washington DC and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $97,700-$162,800.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
