Work You’ll Do:

As a GPS Transportation Operations Lead on the Industry Solutions Transportation team, you will be responsible for…

· Leading the design and delivery of data and AI solutions that align technology outcomes to business requirements of transportation agencies

· Defining architecture patterns, engineering standards, and delivery approaches for data platforms, traffic solutions, and application integrations

· Overseeing the build of data pipelines, APIs, cloud-based services, and AI-enabled products across the solution lifecycle

· Collaborating with business, product, engineering, and delivery stakeholders to translate requirements into implementation plans

· Leading project teams, reviewing technical deliverables, and managing execution across timelines, dependencies, and risks

· Deploying pilots, proof-of-concepts, and scaling transportation technology solutions to government and public services clients

Qualifications

Required:

· Bachelor’s degree in Traffic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Statistics

· 5+ years of experience designing and delivering data products, analytics solutions, or traffic management solutions

· 5+ years of experience leading client services teams, engineering teams, technical workstreams, or technology implementations

· 3+ years of experience with Python, Structured Query Language (SQL), and at least one cloud platform: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

· 4+ years of experience building traffic management solutions for Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS), Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), or other transportation-related operations systems.

· Ability to travel 10-30%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

· Master’s degree in Traffic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Statistics

· Experience with large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, or big data

· Experience serving clients in government, transportation, consumer, or government sectors

· Industry experience and familiarity with professional organizations such as ITS America, AASHTO, Transportation Research Board, etc.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New Jersey. Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to New Jersey and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $137,700 to $229,500.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
