About the team
Join Deloitte’s next-generation engineering team – Emerging Technologies, where human expertise and AI-powered development combine to deliver high-quality solutions at speed. As a Consultant – Solution / Build Engineer, you will contribute to the design and development of custom solutions within an AI-assisted delivery environment, working alongside experienced engineers, architects, and product teams.
In this role, you will build your technical expertise while leveraging AI tools to accelerate development, ensuring solutions meet quality, scalability, and architectural standards. This is an exciting opportunity for engineers who are eager to grow in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
What will your typical day look like?
Develop AI-Assisted Solutions
• Develop and refine features using modern engineering practices and AI-assisted development tools
• Review and validate AI-generated code with guidance from senior team members
• Ensure deliverables meet defined quality and functional requirements
Apply Engineering and Architectural Fundamentals
• Build solutions aligned with established architectures, coding standards, and engineering practices
• Develop familiarity with enterprise patterns (APIs, data models, integration approaches)
• Identify potential issues and escalate risks to senior team members
Support Quality and Maintainability
• Contribute to writing clean, maintainable, and testable code
• Support code reviews, testing, and integration activities
• Learn to identify and avoid common sources of technical debt
Contribute to End-to-End Delivery
• Participate in the full development lifecycle, including build, integration, and deployment activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, QA, data, design) to deliver integrated solutions
• Support integration efforts to ensure components work cohesively
Learn and Innovate with AI Tools
• Experiment with AI-assisted development tools to improve efficiency and quality
• Continuously build skills across full-stack development and emerging technologies
• Contribute ideas and improvements to team practices
Collaborate Effectively
• Work closely with team members to translate requirements into technical deliverables
• Communicate progress, blockers, and solutions clearly
• Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive team environment
Enough about us, let’s talk about you
Requirements (Must Haves) :
• 2–5 years of experience in software development or related roles
• Foundational knowledge of full-stack development (frontend, APIs, data)
• Familiarity with modern development tools and frameworks
• Exposure to or interest in AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or similar)
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
Preferred (Nice to Haves) :
• Strong learning mindset with curiosity for emerging technologies
• Ability to balance speed and quality with guidance from senior team members
• Effective collaboration and communication skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $58,000 - $96,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
