Work you’ll do/Responsibilities

You will support the client as a Cloud Security Engineering Pod to support their Cloud Security efforts as an extension of their own team

  • Analyze, architect, build, and enhance an Unauthorized Lateral Movement solution for a large-scale OpenShift platform.
  • Own security solutions designed to operate at enterprise scale in an automated, seamless, and operationally secure manner.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure container platform capabilities across the organization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and partner teams across different time zones to support design decisions, implementation planning, and issue resolution.
  • Contribute to the architecture, design, reliability, and scalability of new and existing container security systems.
  • Support the full lifecycle of enterprise security solution delivery, from design through implementation and ongoing operations.
  • Help improve secure platform engineering practices across Kubernetes and container environments through automation and operational rigor.
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure solutions are resilient, maintainable, and aligned to platform security objectives.
  • Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management
  • Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes

Provides talent, leading technologies, and processes to operate client cyber capabilities, including the identity lifecycle, security operations, threat intelligence, application security business transformation, and continuous compliance.

Qualifications

Required

  • 6+ years of relevant industry work experience in security engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience working at large scale platform level with OpenShift or similar Kubernetes platforms.
  • 6+ years of experience across the full lifecycle of enterprise software solutions, including design, implementation, and operational support in cross-functional environments.
  • 6+ years of experience contributing to architecture and design decisions, including architecture patterns, reliability, and scaling considerations.
  • 6+ years of experience with Kubernetes and container technologies such as Docker, Podman, and OpenShift.
  • 6+ years of experience with security fundamentals as they relate to Kubernetes and containerized platforms.
  • 6+ years of expertise in a major programming language such as Python or Java, along with associated tooling such as Git, Maven, IDEs, Jenkins, or Bitbucket.
  • 6+ years of experience working with DevOps, CI/CD, and Agile methodology in enterprise technology environments.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Must be able to start by 8/17/2026
  • Must be able to work in a Hybrid model – minimum of 3 days onsite at the client location in Dallas, TX.

Preferred

  • Experience building or enhancing container security controls for large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across distributed teams and global time zones.
  • Strong understanding of platform reliability, automation, and secure-by-design principles.
  • Analytical/ Decision Making Responsibilities
  • Analytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work products
  • Can operate independently or with minimum supervision

  • Ability to deliver technical demonstrations

The wage range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $102,700 to $159,300.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
