Position Summary
Deloitte’s Government & Public Services (GPS) Account and Engagement Finance Services team supports engagement leaders with financial planning, analysis, and operational execution across the engagement lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to build experience in finance operations while working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Work you'll do
As a Firm Account and Engagement Finance Services Associate, you will be responsible for:
- Support account and engagement finance activities, including tracking financial data, maintaining records, and preparing routine reports
- Assist with invoicing, budgeting, forecasting, and other finance support processes in accordance with established procedures
- Review financial information for completeness and accuracy and escalate discrepancies for resolution
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather data, respond to requests, and support engagement finance activities
- Use Deloitte systems and Microsoft Excel to organize data, prepare analyses, and maintain documentation

The team
Our GPS Account and Engagement Finance Services practice supports engagement teams in defining the requirements reflected in client contracts. The team develops staffing, budget, and forecast assumptions using financial planning and forecasting methods to support engagement execution. The practice also prepares cost estimates across engagement phases, activities, people, materials, hardware, and software, using project and client management tools to help keep work on track and on cost.
Qualifications
Required:
- Current enrollment in a full-time Bachelor’s Degree with a target graduation date by Spring/Summer 2026 in these or related areas of study: Accounting, Analytics, Finance
- Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0
- Must reside within 100 miles of the assigned office by the start date and be able to commute daily, if required.
- Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment.
Preferred:
- Cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience working with financial data, reporting, or reconciliations
- Experience using enterprise resource planning systems or finance systems
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,000 to $71,000.
