Position Summary

Candidates must be located within a commutable distance to Deloitte University, Westlake, Texas for this role and be on-site a minimum of 3 days per week
A highly experienced professional with extensive experience handling Talent Relations (TR) concepts; provides advice and council to less experienced Talent Relations professionals to resolve TR cases.

Work you’ll do
  • Investigate allegations or claims of inappropriate conduct at DU, engage stakeholders (OGC, Security, TBA, Business Leadership, Program Deans, etc.) as appropriate to effectively mitigate risk, recommend disciplinary action that conforms to DU and Deloitte policies and practices, and lead conversations with DU guests that are involved in talent-related incidents
  • Manage talent-related guest accommodation requests
  • Demonstrate and execute the ability to identify, understand, interpret and resolve complex problems by using deep technical TR knowledge to mitigate risk
  • Exhibit strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to communicate findings and solutions related to investigations.
  • Deepen relationships with internal clients (e.g., OGC, Leadership Excellence, ELE, TBAs, Business Leaders, Resource Managers, DU Leadership Team, DU Office of Security, Guest Experience Operations, Meeting and Event Services, Client and Market Growth, etc.); use business knowledge to identify trends and recommend solutions for complex people-related risk matters
  • Provide crisis support for matters not limited to (e.g., medical emergencies, behavior/mental health, natural disasters, communicable disease - collaborate with medical advisor, etc.), partner with Talent Relations-Crisis team, Business Advisors (TBAs) and Business Leaders to understand and address challenges and issues
  • Explore identified opportunities for process efficiencies
  • Lead or participate in Talent Relations or talent special projects
  • May provide direction to TR Specialist Lead regarding complex cases; manage their performance, as appropriate
  • May have oversight and accountability of direct reports’ output/deliverables as well as flawless execution of TR support, as applicable

The Team
Talent Risk and Relations is comprised of two service offerings as follows:
  • Talent Risk focuses on aggregate risks impacting our people across all levels (e.g., new programs/initiatives driven by technology, talent data usage, globalization and regulatory requirements).
  • Talent Relations focuses on individual risks across all levels caused by either behavioral or external factors (e.g., investigations, consultations, and crisis matters).
Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a manager
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Ability to be on site at Deloitte University, Westlake, Texas; travel 0-5%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred:
  • Able to apply judgment to situations
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of TR concepts and policies
  • Basic understanding of Employment Law
  • Clear understanding of Deloitte’s compliance requirements
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Ability to handle high volume and complexity of cases and prioritize accordingly
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and ServiceNow
