What will your typical day look like?

The Global Clients & Industries team within DTTL Global Growth is responsible for driving market leadership and growth through industry, sector, and client program. The goal is to mobilize Deloitte’s full MDM capabilities across the network to serve our clients with quality and distinction and make a measurable, tangible, and attributable impact.

The Global Consumer industry has set a bold growth ambition with the portfolio anchored across four sectors: Consumer Products, Retail, Wholesale & Distribution, Transportation, Hospitality & Services, and Automotive. To achieve this, the industry is prioritizing GreenDot Operate, Growth Platforms, and Business Confluence (MDM), while focusing on the market themes most likely to drive demand and differentiation—including future of airlines, software defined vehicles and cross-business and sector enablers like Agentic AI, sustainability and cost optimization amid a changing consumer environment and rising trade uncertainty. Realizing this aspiration will require tighter collaboration across member firms, greater convergence across Consumer sectors and adjacent industries, and broader globalization of tools and solutions to scale leading capabilities globally.

Work you’ll do:

In this role, you will work directly with the Global Industry Leader (GIL) and Industry Executives to lead cross-business industry/sector day-to-day operations and programs to accelerate growth, amplify industry and foster connectivity across the network. The role is one of influence with high complexity, requiring deep relationship-building skills with a range of Deloitte stakeholders.

In this role you will be responsible for driving:

Strategic Impact:

  • Co-defines Global Industry/Sector program strategy, priorities and investment needs, in alignment with Global Growth, Global Businesses, Executive MFs and Global Deloitte strategies (e.g., long term planning)
  • Ensures each industry has identified annual priorities; monitors progress towards objectives
  • Monitors and reports on industry revenue, margin performance and pipeline (including sector involvement) and identifies areas to improve
  • Engages with GILs/GSLs to ensure Global Crown Jewel, Global Strategic and Deloitte Private client programs are delivered through industry/sector (e.g., integration in industry/sector strategies, ensure sector investments accelerate growth/innovation in the global portfolios)
  • Drives go-to-market growth-oriented initiatives to tailor service solutions to the needs of industry clients
  • Co-develops/executes on Global Industry/Sector Alliance strategy
  • Defines sales/pursuit approach and support embedding a pursuit-centered mindset across Industry program (Jupiter dashboard, metrics/KPIs)

Influence & Impact:

  • Serves as a strategic advisor to the Global Industry Leaders and Global Sector Leaders
  • Collaborates with Global Businesses and Member Firm leaders to ensure alignment with Global Growth/Global industry priorities programs
  • Provides industry/sector input to key programs and initiatives (e.g., EPM decisions, global marketing strategy)

Leadership / Talent Development

  • Supports GIL/GSL and GLCSP succession processes with GC&I leadership, Industry Executives and Talent
  • Supports GIL/GSL annual performance management process
  • Leads sector team performance management process
  • Strengthens global industry/sector community across GBs and MFs through community calls to support sharing of best practices and mentorship
  • Leads and mentors global industry operations leaders, sector specialists, and others within GC&I and Global Growth community
  • Builds industry knowledge/assets across Knowledge Services, Industry Nerve Centers, Market Intelligence, Industry Marketing and Learning

Firm and Business Management

  • Co-develops approach (decision rights, participants, cadence) for Industry Executives/Councils as well as facilitate execution and updates
  • Identifies industry/sector best practices and success stories propagate across the network
  • Manages Industry/Sector budget driving investment to the best and highest use

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience, including, but not limited to
  • Knowledge and experience of working across the Consumer sectors
  • Exceptional understanding of Firm strategy, industry and sector growth priorities and firm operations
  • Expert management skills including the ability to work independently and deal with ambiguity.
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrable experience in strategy development and execution.
  • Proven ability to problem-solve and strong analytical abilities.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and communicate clearly and effectively; experience of credibly and successfully influencing in partner groups and across grades and geographies more broadly.
  • Proven project leadership and delivery of multiple projects; works well under pressure
  • Excellent people leadership skills and evidence of working with others to deliver against timelines.

Preferred:

  • Direct client service experience
  • Experience working across businesses and/or geographies
  • Willingness to learn and understand sector nuances around heart of business issues, sector dynamics, global economics and how the industry and its sectors impacts and is impacted by the global economy

Total Rewards


The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $260,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
