Our Deloitte Strategy & Transactions team helps guide clients through their most critical moments and transformational initiatives. Work you’ll do
As a Senior Consultant on the Complex Securities team, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting Deloitte audit teams and non-audit clients with valuation analyses for complex equity and debt securities in connection with regulatory, financial reporting, and tax matters
- Building and reviewing financial models, analyzing financial statements, conducting industry and company research, and preparing written reports and supporting analyses
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders regarding project scope, valuation approach, key assumptions, and deliverables
- Supervising junior staff and Consultants, reviewing work products, and providing guidance to support quality and consistency
- Supporting other Deloitte Valuation & Modeling engagements, as needed, based on client and business priorities

The team
Our Valuation & Modeling team provides financial modeling for business planning, transactions, and operational improvements. We conduct valuation for tax purposes, regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), litigation, bankruptcy, and risk management. Additionally, we support audit processes with fair value measurements.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics
- 4+ years of business valuation and intangible asset valuation consulting experience
- 4+ Years of experience specifically working in complex securities valuation financial modeling, managing client relationships, creating, and delivering client service work that exceeds client expectations, communicating (both written and oral) and presenting complex technical issues to non-technical internal and external clients
- Employment of various complex securities valuation methodologies such as Black Scholes, Lattice and Monte Carlo simulation modeling
- Leadership role in project management and executing valuation engagements
- Executing multiple simultaneous complex securities valuation engagements
- Ability to travel 30%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Quantitative Finance or Financial Engineering
- CFA
- Experience in VBA, @Risk and other financial modelling tools
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $124,700 to $207,800.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
