Work you'll do

Join Deloitte’s Government & Public Services practice and lead the end-to-end technical delivery of a Salesforce-based Child Welfare solution aligned to agency outcomes in safety, permanency, and well-being. In this role, you will help deliver a secure, scalable, compliant, and integration-ready platform that supports complex public sector case management needs. You will work across architecture, engineering, integration, and release activities to help agencies modernize critical services.

As an Associate Business Transformation Architect on the GPS Sales & Service team, you will be responsible for…

  • Leading technical delivery across design, build, test, and release activities, including estimation, sprint planning support, code reviews, quality gates, and release readiness
  • Translating business and functional requirements into solution architecture, technical designs, and build stories while enforcing engineering standards and delivery patterns
  • Defining Salesforce platform architecture across data model, automation, user interface, environments, performance, deployment strategy, and child welfare process patterns
  • Leading integrations, data conversion, and migration activities, including interface design, mappings, error handling, reconciliation, auditability, and support transition planning
  • Owning security, compliance, accessibility, DevOps, and operational readiness activities, while managing technical risks and mentoring technical team members

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 6+ years of experience delivering Salesforce solutions, including hands-on experience with Apex, Aura, Lightning Web Components, and Flow
  • 2+ years of experience serving as a technical lead or architect on complex technology programs
  • 2+ Experience designing and delivering integrations using Representational State Transfer (REST), Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), or event-driven patterns
  • 1+ Experience designing Salesforce security controls, including sharing, permission sets, audit capabilities, and encryption features
  • 1+ Experience delivering technology solutions in public sector environments with governance, documentation, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to travel 0-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred:

  • Salesforce Application Architect, System Architect, or Technical Architect certification
  • Experience supporting child welfare, case management modernization, or federal and state reporting requirements, including Adoption and Foster Care Analysis and Reporting System (AFCARS), National Child Abuse and Neglect Data System (NCANDS), or National Youth in Transition Database (NYTD), where in scope
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with MuleSoft
  • Experience leading data conversion or migration activities for case management platforms
  • Experience implementing accessibility requirements aligned to Section 508 or Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
  • Experience establishing continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines and automated testing for Salesforce programs
  • Experience integrating with eligibility, court, payment, identity, document management, telephony, analytics, or mobile platforms
