Position Summary
Do you have experience advising multinational organizations on international tax matters and helping clients navigate complex cross-border issues? Deloitte’s International Tax Services practice provides compliance and consulting services to U.S. and foreign multinational clients across a broad range of industries. In this role, you will help clients address the tax implications of their international operations while identifying issues, developing analysis, and supporting planning strategies that align with business objectives.
Work you'll do
As a Manager, Tax Services on the Global Strategies Group team, you will be responsible for supporting multinational clients with international tax planning, consulting, and implementation activities.
- Advise multinational clients on the tax implications of their international operations and proposed transactions
- Assist clients with implementing international tax structures and processes
- Oversee complex tax computation and consulting projects across multiple industries
- Research international tax issues and prepare materials, analyses, and recommendations for client engagements
- Lead collaboration across tax and non-tax stakeholders, and supervise the development of tax consultants and senior consultants

The team
The Global Strategies Group is a national specialty team within Deloitte’s International Tax practice. The team works with large multinational organizations to develop and implement tax strategies designed to support business objectives, improve global cash utilization, and address effective tax rate considerations. Team members support projects that may include international strategic tax reviews, restructuring transactions, foreign tax credit planning, repatriation planning, treasury planning, disposition planning, and international mergers and acquisitions planning.
Qualifications
Required:
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week
- 5+ years’ experience providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work, preferably with a focus on international taxation
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field
- Experience managing senior-level client relationships
- Supervision or mentoring of tax professionals
- Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- One of the following active accreditations obtained:
- Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA
- If not CPA eligible:
- Licensed attorney (or foreign equivalent)
- Enrolled Agent (or foreign equivalent)
- Foreign equivalents of CPA, Licensed Attorney, or Enrolled Agent (requires Offering Leader and National Tax Talent approval)
Preferred:
- Experience in a Big Four, public accounting, or consulting environment
- Experience researching international tax issues and preparing client-facing materials
- Participation in international tax planning initiatives
- Collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, including treasury, accounting, and legal
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $116,175 to $237,375.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
