About the teams
Roles are available across a range teams within the firm. You can select up to two teams from the following business areas:
Audit & Assurance (A&A)
The Audit & Assurance practice includes the following service lines: Audit Public, Audit Private, Internal Audit, IT Audit Assurance, and Actuarial Insurance Solutions.
We’re looking for students interested in the following roles –
- Staff Accountant: interest in pursuing CPA career path with focus on audit and assurance practices. This role focuses on using audit methodologies to support our clients mitigate risk and by following evolving financial reporting standards and regulations. Responsibilities include: preparing and analyzing financial statements, reconciling accounts, supporting audit testing, documenting findings, and assisting with compliance and regulatory reporting.
- Analyst - Intern: interest in engagements related to Internal Audit, IT Audit and Assurance, Accounting & Reporting, Controls, and Sustainability & Emerging Assurance (including AI Assurance. This role focuses on high-quality assurance reports for clients across industries. Responsibilities include: preparing financial accounting and reporting internal control remediation and testing, risk assessment support, Internal Audit Strategy & Transformation, financial accounting and financial reporting, regulatory assurance, and/or actuarial insurance solutions (Property & Casualty, Risk & Benefits, Life & Health).
Education Requirement for A&A:
- For Staff Accountant roles:
- Working towards completing an undergraduate degree or diploma and pre-requisites to enter the CPA Professional Education Program. You also have an interest in pursuing a CPA designation.
- Shows a commitment to Audit & Assurance through relevant classes/project work, past employment, and/or case competitions.
- For Analyst - Intern roles:
- Individuals with interest in controls, audit methodologies, business and IT operations, IT risk, analytics and data
- Preferred areas of academic study/background: Business, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related discipline (i.e., technical backgrounds, data analytics, AI, etc.). We encourage applications from candidates with diverse academic backgrounds.
- Working towards completing a post-secondary degree or diploma in the fields of actuarial sciences, mathematics, risk management or a related field & significant progress towards ASA preferred (passed at least two SOA or CAS actuarial exam.
Tax & Legal (T&L)
The Tax & Legal practice includes the following service lines: Business Tax, R&D and Government Incentives (Gi3), International Tax, Mergers & Acquisitions, Transfer Pricing, US Corporate Tax, Indirect Tax, and Global Employer Services.
We’re seeking students interested in the following roles –
- Tax Analyst: We are seeking a Tax Analyst to support our tax professionals with corporate tax compliance, research, and financial analysis. This role is ideal for students interested in pursuing the CPA designation and building a career in tax. Responsibilities include: preparing corporate tax returns and supporting schedules, analyzing financial statements and accounting data, conducting technical tax research and summarizing findings, supporting tax professionals with tax planning and compliance projects.
Education Requirement for T&L:
- For Tax Analyst roles (CPA Path):

- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business, or a related field
- Interest in pursuing a CPA designation, and on track to meet the prerequisites for the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA)
Strategy, Risk and Transactions (SR&T)
The Strategy, Risk and Transactions practice includes the following service lines: Strategy & Business Design, Sustainability & Climate Change, Infrastructure & Capital Projects, Corporate Finance, Valuation & Modelling, Deal Transformation & Post-Merger Integration, Financial Crime, Regulatory & Compliance, and Disputes & Claims.
We’re seeking students interested in our Strategy, M&A and Transactions, or Risk, Regulatory & Forensics teams –
- Strategy: The team is responsible for assisting clients in improving performance through assessment, identification, and implementation of strategic planning and goals. Activities may include corporate or business unit strategy, customer, or marketing strategy, as well as growth, innovation, and financial planning.
- M&A and Transactions: The team delivers innovative end-to-end services to help our clients achieve their Growth and Succession aspirations at key moments that matter. They deliver high impact value added services through a multi-faceted service delivery model and by embedding analytics in everything they do.
- Risk, Regulatory & Forensics: Do you have an interest in helping clients react quickly and confidently in a crisis, investigation, or dispute? Deloitte Forensic specialists use their global network, deep industry experience, and advanced analytical technology to understand and resolve issues. They deliver the proactive advice clients need to reduce the risk of future problems.
Education Requirement for SR&T:
- Working towards completing a post-secondary degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- Some teams will require pre-requisites to enter the CPA Professional Education Program. You also have an interest in pursuing a CPA designation.
Technology & Transformation (T&T)
The Technology & Transformation practice includes the following service lines: Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Data, Emerging ERP Solutions, Finance Transformation, Oracle, SAP, ServiceNow, Supply Chain & Network Operations, Technology Strategy & Transformation, HR Strategy & Technology, and Organization & Work Transformation.
We’re seeking students interested in our Engineering, AI & Data, Enterprise Technology & Performance, or Human Capital –
- Engineering, AI & Data: Do you have an interest in driving business and technology transformation through engineering excellence and data driven insight? Teams help clients design, build, and scale digital, analytics, and AI solutions that improve decision making, drive efficiencies, and enable innovation.
- Enterprise Technology & Performance: Bring your learning to life by helping organizations achieve maximum impact and value from their investments in Finance, Supply Chain, and IT operations. Teams take a holistic view of business performance—supporting clients from strategy articulation through process design and technology enablement to deliver sustainable results.
- Human Capital: Are you curious about people, work and organizational change? Our teams help organizations elevate HR capabilities, leverage data and technology to streamline operations, and guide change – enabling a more agile, engaged, and future ready workforce.
Education Requirement for T&T:
- Working towards completing a post-secondary degree in Commerce/Business, Human Resources, Psychology, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Business Technology Management.

Quebec: We require basic English language skills to meet the needs of our clients. In the context of mandates, you could work for clients with activities outside of Quebec and where the first language is English.
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $60,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
