What will your typical day look like?
In this role, you will lead the delivery of Financial Crimes Oversight Testing engagements for one of Canada's leading financial institutions. Drawing on your AML, risk management, and controls expertise, you will oversee the assessment of financial crimes control environments and help clients strengthen governance, compliance, and risk management practices.
As part of the Financial Crimes Testing leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and reporting of testing reviews, ensuring work is performed in accordance with established methodologies, policies, standards, and regulatory expectations. You will provide guidance and quality assurance over testing activities, challenge conclusions where appropriate, and deliver meaningful insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
You will also support program governance, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement initiatives, while mentoring engagement teams and contributing to the development of market-leading financial crimes oversight and assurance capabilities

Enough about us, let’s talk about you
Ideally, you are someone with:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in AML, Financial Crimes Compliance, Compliance Testing, Internal Audit, Risk Management, or regulatory assurance.
- Demonstrated experience leading control design and operating effectiveness assessments.
- Strong knowledge of AML/ATF regulatory requirements and financial crimes risk management frameworks.
- Experience managing testing programs, audits, regulatory reviews, or assurance engagements.
- Hands-on experience with AML testing, compliance testing, control testing, or internal audit programs.
- Ability to evaluate both control design effectiveness and control operating effectiveness.
- Experience identifying control deficiencies, root causes, and remediation opportunities.
- Strong understanding of risk-based testing methodologies and regulatory expectations.
- Proven ability to review and challenge testing results, issue ratings, and remediation plans.
- Experience developing risk-based testing strategies, sampling methodologies, and reporting approaches.
- Strong knowledge of governance, risk management, and enterprise issue management frameworks.
- Ability to work in fast-paced client environments with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Prior experience leading teams and managing multiple concurrent engagements.
- Experience within a large Canadian or global financial institution is highly preferred.
- CAMS, CFCS, CIA, CISA, CRMA, PMP, or related professional certification is an asset.
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $101,000 - $169,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
