Location: Pune, India
Role Description
The eDiscovery Operations team is responsible for the Bank’s capture, retention, recovery and transfer of electronically stored information to internal requestors and external third parties of electronic messaging data to meet Legal, Compliance and Regulatory requirements.
This exciting role is to perform the process platform identification and data recovery from multiple data sources to meet the compliance needs of the Bank’s internal and external stakeholders and regulators. This role has a direct impact on the Bank’s ability to respond to legal, regulatory, and HR investigations and in turn the bank’s reputation. Attention to detail is critical as the data set provided to our requestors must be complete and accurate

Your key responsibilities
- Preserving (including identifying, locating, maintaining/recertifying, and releasing) data from a variety of electronically stored information (ESI) types in accordance with all legal requirements.
- Collecting data from a variety of ESI types in a legally defensible manner, including forensically sound collections that maintain data integrity with a full chain of custody.
- Maintaining impeccable record keeping related to preservation, collection, and data delivery tasks, with an emphasis on accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
- Utilizing a variety of software and handling data from a variety of ESI sources, including Messaging (Email, IM, Bloomberg, etc.), Voice, Business Transactional and Unstructured (logs, end user devices, file shares, etc.) data.
- Following established procedures and adhering to controls for handling of strictly confidential data.
- Contributes to the implementation of innovative business change solutions, including Divisional and Bank wide initiatives. Plays an active role in process and performance improvement initiatives, to deliver industrialized solutions.
- Accountability for process assurance and quality checks of data and information requests.
- Collaborates with colleagues and participates in activities to achieve positive outcomes in the interests of the wider business ensuring long term success over short term gain.
- Providing strong technical analysis in a straightforward way that aids stakeholders with an ability to frame concepts and make important business decisions.
- Provide consultative guidance on eDiscovery relevant technology, operations, and service delivery.
- Develops, fosters, and encourages a strong, productive working relationship with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- Builds and maintains diverse, productive relationships inside and outside the Bank, with partner functions and external partners.
- Highlights operational, regulatory, and other risks to the Head of Service Operations and Head of Function. Takes ownership for operational resolution and reflects the needs of clients in the prioritization of immediate and longer-term remediation strategies.
- Manages escalations by working with Client Services and other Service Operations Specialists to accurately resolve escalated issues quickly.
- Owns and drives operational performance against agreed financial and non-financial targets for assigned products/services. Actively drives the development and benchmarking of world-class operational standards and ensures their implementation as appropriate.
- Provides clients, colleagues, and partner functions with regular and ad hoc Management Information (MI), analysis and insight to drive new thinking, development and implementation of interventions to address changing business needs and reflect market trends.
- Ensuring the handover of delivery requests to other global teams ensuring efficient use of resources using a follow-the-sun model.
- Drives Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, promoting a culture of sustainability in the workplace.
Your skills and experience
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience working in data handling role / IT support industry within the field of eDiscovery.
- Experience with eDiscovery and forensic technologies, techniques, and workflows.
- Experience with attorney document review processes.
- Experience with technical incident management, problem management and remediation.
- Technical knowledge of enterprise level infrastructure and technology (e.g., messaging applications, business applications, databases, file and print servers, backup and storage, compliance archiving).
- Understanding of the client/server relationship in messaging technology infrastructure.
- Experience of working in database concepts & architecture, networking, and windows.
- Experience with utilizing workflow and incident management tools.
- Ability to apply technical principles when performing retrieval tasks.
- Understanding of change management processes and procedures.
- Experience working in a secure environment with sensitive data.
- Familiar, knowledge/use or understanding of chain of custody requirements, regulatory processes
- Familiar, knowledge/use of eDiscovery ESI investigation, preservation, disposition, recovery and analysis of data from a variety of electronic communications a strong plus
- Experience working with people in different regions and time zones
- Preferred but not required to have fundamental knowledge of Service Delivery concepts earned through a Six Sigma or ITIL certification.
