Overview

CT&A protects the integrity and reputation of Deutsche Bank. You manage the Bank’s risks and help to avoid unintentional rule breaches and conflicts of interest, At the same time, you also advise on ethical conduct, governance issues and keep our organization up-to-date on regulatory and political challenges. As a member of the Transaction Monitoring Investigations (TMI) Quality Assurance Team CT&A, you would help protect Deutsche Bank from financial and reputational losses incurred by financial crimes by assessing, controlling and mitigating risks. You will review the sampled cases and provide feedback within the case management tool for any exceptions (errors) identified during the course of the review that detail their findings in addition to any non-findings. The quality assurance (QA) Associate is also responsible for validating the research (supporting documentation) conducted by the Financial Crime Operations (FCO) Teams and ensuring all Deutsche Bank policies and procedures as well as complying with regulatory rules were followed based on the prescriptive procedures in place.

What You’ll Do

  • Present findings/exceptions to the Investigators / QA Team Lead in a concise and well-written manner that fully supports the core competency that was marked

  • Validate completeness and accuracy of Financial Crimes Operations (FCO) related cases using independent research, reviewing the supporting documentation and ensure the narratives address all risk factors and their final disposition is rational and can be fully understood by a third party (i.e. Internal/External Audit, Regulators, etc.)

  • Uses independent and professional judgment when reviewing FCO investigations in addition to all policies and procedures and meets regulatory standards

  • Provide consistent qualitative feedback to the FCO Investigators that follows the QA protocols and procedures without any deviations

  • Make sound judgment when assessing an Investigator’s case narrative and supporting documentation compared to the QA Core Competencies in place while also analyzing the transactional activity and any potential red flags that may be present

Skills You’ll Need

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree

  • Relevant experience as an anti-money laundering (AML) investigator in a transaction monitoring and suspicious activity reports (SAR) writing capacity or equivalent experience or education

  • Ability to identify, escalate and communicate issues to management in an effective and succinct manner

  • Effective decision making skills and strong problem solving skills

  • Strong knowledge of AML laws (USA PATRIOT Act), Regulations (The US Federal Reserve (Fed), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA)) and their application to the supported products/business lines

  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, including pivot tables, macros, filtering, and sorting

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Jacksonville, FL office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

Deutsche Bank provides reasonable accommodations to candidates and employees with a substantiated need based on disability and/or religion.

The salary range for this position in Jacksonville is $54,000 to $77,400. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
