DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology center in Central and Eastern Europe. Opened in January 2014, the Bucharest office is constantly expanding. The team is made up of enthusiastic professionals that work in an international environment adapting to different context and learning new technologies and parts of Deutsche Banks’ businesses. We are flexible about our working locations and travel abroad to enable project success and speed up delivery and knowledge transfer activities.

  • Bring your experience to actively help to increase the stability and reliability of the developed solutions, identify and fix bugs and increase test automation of the services to maintain.
  • Use your experience as a Senior Service Engineer to evaluate and ensure that your services can be operated flawlessly on the provided platform, even under high load scenarios such as more than 50,000-100,000 parallel front-end user sessions in parallel with a further 60,000 middleware user sessions.

EXPERIENCE/EXPOSURE:

  • Works under general direction within a clear framework of accountability. Exercises substantial personal responsibility and autonomy. Plans own work to meet given objectives and processes.
  • Extensive professional experience and expert practical knowledge in the area of Service Engineering for IT solutions/ applications with Java and/or Javascript.
  • Extensive professional experience and expert practical knowledge for highly available, load-resistant and well-tested web applications visible to end customers, with regularly more than 50,000 parallel front-end user sessions.
  • Practical Knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment tools (e.g. Github, Gitlab) and patterns for CI/CD pipelines.
  • Practical Knowledge of automated infrastructure provisioning and testing based on Terraform/TerraGrunt, Terraform Enterprise.
  • Expert knowledge of Node.js, Quarkus, Spring Boot, Web Services (SOAP, WSDL, REST), SQL and NoSQL.
  • Knowledge of Docker and native Kubernetes operations.
  • Knowledge of logging, monitoring and alerting tools, e.g. EFK stack, Stackdriver.
  • A passion for constantly learning and applying new technologies and programming languages in a constantly evolving web environment.
  • Extensive professional experience and expert knowledge to work in agile delivery teams, and participate in pair programming and regular code reviews.

  • Acts as training ‘faculty’ on key internal technical/specialist development programmes (NB Annual number of hours/days to be agreed at start of year with Manager in consultation with the Profession Owner).
  • Designs innovative, sustainable solutions which are congruent with the strategic direction of the Bank.
  • Challenges colleagues to do the same, pushing the boundaries of what is possible to deliver potential for higher levels of organizational performance. Builds, captures and manages the transfers of knowledge across the Professional community.
  • Provides Profession Owners with input that shapes the curriculum.
  • Defines and implements best practices, solutions and standards related to their area of expertise.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent) –
