Job Title - Senior Engineer, AVP
Location – Pune, India
Role Description
Engineer is responsible for managing or performing work across multiple areas of the bank's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and administration. It may also involve taking functional oversight of engineering delivery for specific departments. Work includes:
- Planning and developing entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals
- Building reliability and resiliency into solutions with appropriate testing and reviewing throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Ensuring maintainability and reusability of engineering solutions
- Ensuring solutions are well architected and can be integrated successfully into the end-to-end business process flow
- Reviewing engineering plans and quality to drive re-use and improve engineering capability
- Participating in industry forums to drive adoption of innovative technologies, tools and solutions in the Bank.

Your key responsibilities
As a part of the Instrument and Common Reference data team you would be an integral part of our nimble and agile cross functional team to build a completely new project from scratch on GCP.
As a GCP expert you would be expected to:
- Actively and extensively contribute to the architectural decisions around GCP for the OTC project.
- Work with architects to finalize technology stacks and architecture patterns.
- Develop the POCs which would highlight the pros and cons for the architectural decisions to be taken.
- Actively handson with the code to migrate the existing OTC project onto GCP.
- Actively participate in code reviews and pair programming.
- Solve issues collaboratively with the team.
Your skills and experience
As a GCP expert you would be instrumental in participating in finalizing the architecture of an Spring Boot/Java application to be onboarded on to GCP. You are caught up on the industry trends in GCP along with building skills to anticipate what the near future would bring. Furthermore, we are expecting that you have:
- 8+ years of overall experience
- Expertise in Google Cloud Platform
- Strong handson experience in developing micro-service based applications
- Strong experience in building cloud-native applications on GCP.
- Strong Experience in deploying applications in Kubernetes Engine
- Handson Knowledge of Github, Github Actions, Terraform
- Experience with GCP Security, IAM Roles, key rotation, networking, VPC, InterConnect
- Experience on GCP Apigee.
- Exposure to GCP Monitoring, Observability, SRE
- Knowledge on Multi-region deployment, Cost Optimization
- Knowledge on Anthos Service Mesh, Istio, mTLS would be preferred
- Good Experience in Oracle/Postgress
- Exposure to Spring Boot, Spring REST, Spring Data JPA, Spring Integration & Batch
- Experience on OTC Securities would be highly preferred.
- Experience in reference data domain would be highly preferred.
- Experience on Agile SDLC model
