Cash Management Technology

Cash Management IT is running several large-scale transformation projects in the areas of payments processing and core banking. The projects involve renovation of the application landscape, building modular architecture, delivering new products and services, and creating foundation for new business models. Our solutions spans globally and ensure the DB Cash Management business keeps its position at the forefront of dynamic and highly competitive market.

We are on a journey to migrate our applications to the cloud. We are working jointly together with our business colleagues in an agile setup thriving to achieve a highly automated processes and market leading cash management services.

As a Senior Java/Kotlin Engineer (f/m/x), you will be working on delivery of the new cloud services as well as on re-platforming of the on-prem services into the Google Cloud. The role assumes contribution to both backend and frontend development of cloud services available 24x7.

Your key responsibilities

  • Design and develop solutions and services that meet client needs and provide value
  • Developing both code and infrastructure pipelines by defining how applications are built, deployed, monitored, scaled, …
  • Working on low-level functional requirements, technical analysis, and design, involving your team, peer teams as well as end users
  • Mentoring junior developers, reviewing other team member’s code and infrastructure decisions
  • Be a proactive player of an Agile team, contribute to the definition of the future state of the system architecture

Your skills and experiences

  • Good math and algorithms/complexity
  • Excellent knowledge of Java/Kotlin, Spring, SQL, Unix
  • Hands-on experience of developing large-scale enterprise systems
  • Experience implementing fault-tolerant cloud services
  • Experience in Corporate Banking and Payments domains e.g. knowledge of SWIFT, ISO 20022, SEPA concepts is a plus
