Job Description:

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology center in Central and Eastern Europe. Opened in January 2014, the Bucharest office is constantly expanding.

DB Global Technology develops cutting-edge software applications for Deutsche Bank’s global operations and represents a platform for highly skilled software engineers. The team members specialize in Software Application Development, IT Architecture, Quality Assurance and Testing, Functional/Business Analysis and Project Management.

Global Procurement is one of the newest departments providing procurement services (Strategic Procurement, Third Party Management and Procurement Operations) to Deutsche Bank business divisions across the globe.

THE GOAL:

The Sourcing Manager is accountable for supporting the sourcing vision and strategy to meet Deutsche Bank’s business goals. Specifically, the Sourcing Manager will need to have the experience and aptitude to support Deutsche Bank’s cost reduction programmes via the management and delivery of a number of strategic sourcing programmes across multiple categories of spend.

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for motivated candidates who are interested in:

 Leads the execution and supports the development of Category-based sourcing processes for assessing and fulfilling current and future sourcing needs

 Manages or supports sourcing activities across strategic and operational projects

 Liaises with globally spread internal clients & identifies specific sourcing projects/initiatives for the year including expected savings, resource requirements and associated timescales for completion.

 Executes strategies to extract supply-side savings and manage demand-side consumption in order to lower the Bank’s Total Cost of Ownership for external spend as it relates to the specified category

 Builds and maintains a robust understanding of the client’s business strategy, key drivers and current issues to inform the development of product/service implementation strategies that will meet client needs, and which reflect external market trends, competition considerations, macroeconomic factors and DB strategic direction

 Collaborates with colleagues and influences activities to achieve positive outcomes in the interests of the wider DB business

 Reports and highlights operational, regulatory and other risks to the Global Category Managers.

 Actively supports knowledge management. Continually scans the category and industry environment to gather insights, develops knowledge artefacts and shares with key stakeholders and colleagues.

Professional and personal requirements:

 3 – 5 years of experience in a similar role

 Experience in managing sourcing projects

 Experience in commercial and contractual negotiations, driving contracts to signature, assuring legal and compliance alignments with corporate control functions

 Optimist and self-organized with a solid “Can-Do” Attitude.

 Strategic Thinker as well as an “executer” with emphasis on getting things done in right quality and on time.

 Successful, multi-year track record in a sourcing or a vendor management organisation

 Strong team player, able to work in virtual, global teams in a dual reporting matrix organisation

 Excellent relationship management, analytical, problem solving, financial management, strategic agility, communication, influencing and presentation skills

 Excellent communication skills (written/verbal)

 High energy, flexible and with the ability to work in a fast-paced and global business environment

 Working with SAP Ariba (or other Cloud based platforms for procurement).

Education/Certification:

 Degree from an accredited university

Language Skills:

 Proficient in English
