Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Engineer to join our team. The successful
candidate will be responsible for managing and performing work across multiple areas
of the bank's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and
administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and
developing Java (Spring Boot) applications and experience in building CI/CD pipelines

Key Responsibilities:
· Planning and developing entire engineering solutions to accomplish business
goals
· Building reliability and resiliency into solutions with appropriate testing and
reviewing throughout the delivery lifecycle
· Ensuring maintainability and reusability of engineering solutions
· Ensuring solutions are well architected and can be integrated successfully into
the end-to-end business process flow
· Reviewing engineering plans and quality to drive re-use and improve
engineering capability
· Participating in industry forums to drive adoption of innovative technologies,
tools and solutions in the Bank.
· Playing a role in mentoring and coaching of less experienced engineers.

Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
· 10+ years of experience in software development
· Strong analytical problem solving skills and a structured approach to converting
ideas into concepts, design and code
· Extensive knowledge of design and architectural patterns
· Experience in designing and implementing high availability solutions /
microservices
· Knowledge and experience of agile values, principles and methods (e.g. based on
SCRUM or Kanban)
· Proficiency in implementing microservices with Java and Spring Boot
· Solid knowledge of Linux, Docker, SQL, Kafka/PubSub
· Experience with SDLC tools – Git, JIRA, Artifactory, Github
· Automation mindset and experience in designing and building CI/CD pipelines,
ideally Github Actions
· Knowledge and experience in cloud environments, ideally Google Cloud Platform
(GCP)
For internal use only
· Knowledge and experience on OWASP, oAuth2, OpenID Connect for
Authentication and Authorization , TLS / SSL
· Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, or equivalent.
Preferred:
· Knowledge of Javascript/Typescript on Node.js
