Overview
We are hiring in the Capital Markets technology space supporting a global business of bankers across Debt Capital Markets and Global Risk Syndicate – business areas that bring new bond issues to market on behalf of clients, over a €1 trillion yearly.
Our wider technology team supports the key Deutsche Bank Primary Bond Issuance platform for deal execution process from issue announcement and pricing to trade booking, post deal review and reporting, control and audit business cases.
Technology stack is a mix of: Java, GWT and React with Oracle databases. Hosted using a mix of Open Shift and GCP.

What You’ll Do
Design & develop high-quality solutions for the market’s leading platform
Seek ways to improve application’s performance and code quality, ensure architecture supports business requirements
Writing robust, well tested software
Automation of delivery pipelines. Systems are always ready to deploy
Continuous improvement on process, XP, tools, and techniques
How You’ll Lead
Manage end to end ownership of delivery from requirements to production release
An advocate of XP principles; test-driven development, pair/mob programming, iterative development
Couch junior developers, perform code review and do pairing sessions, be helpful and keep positive
Skills You’ll Need
Good knowledge of Java, Java Reflection and Concurrency, Spring, JPA, AOP
Experienced developer in complex business facing applications
Good knowledge of data modelling principles, best practice and clean architecture
Ability to deal with monolithic application and a vision how to decouple it gradually rather than rewriting the application from scratch
Will be a plus: Oracle PL/SQL knowledge, GWT, Eclipse Link, AOP, Grafana, Prometheus
Skills That Will Help You Excel
A commitment to quality applying practices such as test-driven development
Pragmatic mindset driving quicker time to market and early user feedback
Promoting clean code principles to enable sustainable production solutions; Support the existing collaborative and trusting environment
Performing code review, pairing sessions, and sharing knowledge; History of working in collaborative team environments
An advocate of Test-driven development, pair/mob programming, iterative development, DevOps knowledge: CI Servers, Container based deployment, e.g. Open Shift, Kubernetes, Docker; Willing to learn and work in different languages, our group currently uses Java, Clojure and Kotlin amongst others
Expectations
It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $125,000 to $203,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
