The Syndication Tech team manage the primary bond & loan issuance platform for Deutsche Bank. The main system we look after, supports 19 business desks in high volume, high criticality issuances for many of the world’s largest and most prestigious firms. There are also some smaller vendor applications that complete our application landscape.

As IT Application Owner (f/m/x), you will follow one of a number of possible service delivery approaches, acknowledge interference with the IT application’s life cycle and assist with incorporating the adopted approach into best practice.
You will support the bank’s audit function in the remediation of audit points and self-identified issues in order to reduce risk. You are responsible for producing and maintaining accurate documentation on compliance with methodologies, IT policies and IT security requirements. You will interact with and influences colleagues on the governance of IT platform reliability and resilience.

Your key responsibilities

  • Engage and manage multiple main stakeholders to ensure regulatory application compliance, smooth operations and a sound development lifecycle. (Including Business, Security, Development, Test (QA), IT Support, Finance, external Vendors and Architecture)
  • Ensure the application is compliant with the companies IT policies, based on regulatory requirements
  • Be accountable for a high service availability and stability, while continuously managing projects for maintenance or enhancements of the application
  • Raise tickets and priorities these for the development team as a stakeholder in an AGILE-SCRUM environment
  • Support further development by ensuring availability and stability of all relevant environment stages (INT, UAT, PROD)
  • Live and facilitate a DevOps approach by setting up monitoring, configuring deployment-automation tools, preparing software packages, raising and implementing changes, as well as managing certificates and software licenses

Your skills and experiences

  • Experienced in working with multiple stakeholders, preferably in a global IT organisation. Ability to create and naturally maintain good business relationships with all stakeholders
  • Highly organized and self-driven worker with strong analytical skills preferably (but not must) with background in Software Development , Governance, Project Management, Application Management or Operations
  • A strong technical level of understanding for some products/technologies is highly welcomed: Microservices, Docker, RedHat OpenShift, application/web servers (Tomcat) , database technology and scripting (Oracle)
  • Communication and encryption protocols (SSL, TLS), networking (firewalls, load balancers, etc.)
  • CI/CD toolchain (Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory)
