Merchant Solutions Technology

The Merchant Solutions Technology group provides the Corporate Bank with a dedicated team that capitalizes on the rapidly evolving technology industry to provide our clients new products and innovation to meet their growing needs within an Agile FinTech-like setup. We deliver innovative products such as our Digital Payment Gateway (creating an API based solution allowing Marketplaces and Merchant to streamline their payment processing and settlement activities). As part of our new team within the Berlin Tech Hub you will be responsible for technical design, coding, automated unit testing and integration and will liaise with the Product Owner, Architects, Product Managers, software engineers/developers and testers regarding the development and implementation of product lines using various technologies.

As a Release Engineer(f/m/x) working on our platform team you get the chance to have a direct impact on the evolution of our infrastructure and cloud strategies and deliver our solutions to a world renowned global client base.

Your key responsibilities

  • Own our platform agile release processes. Co-ordinate the release across cross-functional squads. Take the full view from source code to deployment.

  • Increase release frequency through supporting and improving tools for continuous build, automated testing and self service release management while continuously evaluating and improving existing CI/CD/Test pipelines and processes.

  • Improve release quality through increased automation, standardization and repeatability.

  • Proactively engage with cross-functional squads to resolve issues and design solutions using critical thinking, analysis skills, and best practices.

Your skills and experiences

  • Experience of working with cloud deployment - particularly Google Cloud Platform.

  • Hands-on experience of container orchestration systems, particularly Kubernetes and Helm Charts.

  • Experience of version control with Git, CI/CD, and DevOps.

  • Experience of build systems for Java, Maven.

  • Experience of working with enterprise ticketing systems such as Service Now

  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English; German language knowledge would be a plus
