Role Description

As a Lead Engineer you will be responsible for end to end delivery of entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals. You will provide technology leadership across teams, mentor and coach junior engineers and encourage continuous improvement in delivery practices. You will enjoy partnering closely with your clients whilst working within a broader creative, collaborative and innovative team, with a strong desire to make an impact.

DLT is a key part of Deutsche Bank’s Investment Bank franchise. DLT Technology has engineering capability across the globe, with key technical resources in the UK, US, Germany and India. The DLT Technology India is on a growth path and you will play a key role in building and consolidating the technical teams in India and ensure that they are resourced and skilled to enable DLT’s aggressive Transformation and Simplification journey and its move to Google Cloud. We are looking for a hands-on senior engineer role with leadership responsibilities.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead and “hands on” participation of the architecture and design of the technical solution, including the creation of all required documentation
  • Manage and enhance software/data architecture best practices, standards, patterns, and reference architectures to design for the given domain
  • Supervising/assisting with the design and development of domain-level roadmaps
  • Designs, implements, and refines product development, testing
  • Demonstrate experience in adoption of new innovative technologies though research to deployment of a solution
  • Manages staff and assigns tasks to engineering and technical personnel.
  • Strives to improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and product designs,
  • Helps to create and oversee project budgets and engages in cost management strategies.
  • Communicates technical information to non-technical stakeholders and potential consumers.
  • Knowledgeable of investment banking, sales & trading, asset management and similar industries
  • Maintains high level expertise in their field or sector.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • B.Tech/BE or M.Tech/ME/MCA/M.Sc. preferably in Computer-Science
  • A team manager with 15 – 20 years of relevant experience in hands on leadership with technology delivery, design and development.
  • Experience working in an Agile/DevOps environment
  • Cloud Engineering leadership a major plus
  • Strong analytical and design skills
  • Understanding of financial sector technologies will be an added advantage
  • Proficient communication skills (written/verbal)
