With program Gravity, Deutsche Bank is intending to migrate our German Retail brands Deutsche Bank & Norisbank from the existing and outdated on-premise IT-landscape to the full and modern google cloud based OnlineBanking Platform with Postbank already productive with millions of clients.
The purpose of the Delivery Management / PMO Lead role (Head of Delivery Management Gravity) is to facilitate the program steering across all workstreams, involved domains and divisions as well as ongoing management of the Gravity IT program, ensuring an appropriate governance and support set-up is in place to enable senior management decision as well as delivery in time, in quality and budget.
The role will work closely aligned with the Gravity Business Management team, owning the financial perspective of Gravity as well as the overarching Private Bank Digitalization KD as business aligned KD.
The Gravity Delivery Management Lead will be the organisational (line) and functional manager for the Gravity Delivery Management Team to enable an efficient Delivery Management organisation.
Gravity Delivery Strategy
- Run program owned steering meetings (e.g. Gravity Leadership Meeting) in order to bring our various delivery stakeholders together and ensure consistent exchange & delivery
- Define, Shape & Manage the implementation of the Gravity it-program target-operating model, to ensure a competitive & compliant position of the Gravity program in our complex stakeholder environment (multiple funding sources, business steering via Key Deliverables in Deutsche Bank, carry on its operations and achieve the desired business outcomes). This is achieved by adherence to the following principles:

Provide a centre of expertise and develop consistent standards and procedures, including templates, and guidance in their tailoring across a range of workstream complexity, to include, but not limited to:
- Planning and Dependency Management
- Investment Governance
- Stakeholder Management
- Resource Management
- Risk and Issue Management
- Change Control
- Quality assurance
- Methods and tools
- Financial Management
- Define guidelines, procedures and templates to collect and maintain consistent data and provide hands-on delivery support to Gravity
Portfolio execution monitoring
- Ensure programmes and projects progress is continuously and responsibly monitored against all relevant metrics - management dashboard (financial, resourcing, milestones, RAID, a.o.).
- Develop and maintain a Gravity resource schedule, mapping available resources against programmes and projects
- Based on Deutsche Bank standard procedures (dbClarity):
- Develop and maintain the portfolio risk register
- Develop and maintain a portfolio dependencies register
- Develop and maintain KPIs for the portfolio
- Provide decision and governance support on demand
- Facilitate governance/portfolio meetings
People management and relationships
- Determine and track progress against individual workstream objectives with workstream SPOC
- Coach and develop a career path (incl. promotion) for all team members as functional & organisational (line) manager
- Encourage an open dialogue with all team members to ensure feedback is captured and actioned 2-ways
- Provide on-demand support to team members
Stakeholder management
- Develop portfolio stakeholder strategy and ensure communications are timely and effective across multiple sponsors (TDI, PB) as well as cross-divisional & cross-domain stakeholders
Organisation and culture
- Active engagement in DB global PPM and PMO forums or any other international forums with impact in the PMO expertise area.
- Maintain an active engagement into the line organisation of the workstreams participating in Gravity to ensure compatibility of approaches
Requierements
Experience/Exposure
- 5+ years of experience from a IT-PMO, planning or corporate governance role with interaction with senior leaders.
- Very strong written and oral communication skills. This includes the capacity to summarise at exec level statements in the right manner within PPT/word documentation.
- Experience in business planning and corporate governance control with focus on IT-Delivery
- Highly organised, structured and with very strong attention to detail
- Experience from working in a globally distributed matrix organisation
- Ability to communicate with impact and chair meetings with large audiences
- Relevant experience in Transformation / Migration projects would be a plus
- Understanding of the Financial Services industry
- English language is a must. German language is a plus
- Tools: MS Office (focus: Excel, PowerPoint), JIRA, dbClarity
