Job Title: Business Management Lead, VP

Location: Pune, India

Role Description

Business Management is responsible for strategy and planning to align business operations with the bank's mission and goals. Work includes:

Delivering and improving the functions performed by the Business Management community

  • Researching and analysing industry and competitive trends to identify emerging market opportunities and strategic areas of interest
  • Identifying and prioritising improvement opportunities and supporting the implementation of discreet sub-units, be they products, desks, infrastructure or control areas of activity or a geographical region
  • Developing complex forecasting models, budgets, resource allocation and plans for projects
  • Utilizing comprehensive knowledge of company's internal operations to develop forward-looking focus for business
  • Synthesizing and collating business insights for specific divisional stakeholders and supporting the improvement of policies, processes and procedures to deliver consistent and reliable products / services
  • Engaging with relevant internal and external stakeholders to deliver the best value for functions / units
  • Building relationships with external points of contact (e.g. regulators, auditors, etc.) and industry bodies

Your key responsibilities

Workforce/Cost Management

  • Leadership of an efficient team covering of workforce management for the COO division – for both internal and external resources. FTE/Headcount Management, including maintenance of hiring pipeline, Workday related activities (raising requests, positions approvals, movements tracking, liaising with central HR team on approvals)
  • Forecasting and planning resource management across global DWS COO in coordination with COO stakeholders and Finance
  • Participation in strategic initiatives
  • Conduct various ad hoc-analyses and address issues that are complementary to the regular planning and forecasting processes.
  • Quarterly PO validation process, in line with onshore stakeholders and Finance team
  • Support MIS and data collection / presentation for senior management reports
  • Trouble shooting / Issue resolution which requires knowledge of financial processes, people and systems
  • Identify trends and improvement opportunities, highlighting proposed action plans to senior management

Your skills and experience

  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills
  • Experience working independently and in a global / virtual / matrixed team
  • Academic qualifications in Business, Finance, or related field, preferably a Masters’ degree
  • Prior relevant work experience of minimum 12-15 years
  • Experience in Workforce Management, Business Performance Analysis, Financial Analysis
