Job Title: Director – Head of Finance Regulatory Reporting, Global Reporting, Regional Finance, CFO

It is crucial for the bank to understand how profitable each businesses activity is and Finance has a responsibility to understand precisely the resource commitment the bank makes to any given client or transaction e.g. cost, capital, funding, liquidity and risk. Finance is playing a central role in keeping the bank focused on simplification and financial resource management.

With our diverse teams in 47 countries, we offer a broad portfolio of capabilities. Our key functions range from Regional Finance, Finance Chief Accounting Office, Group Finance, Treasury, Planning and Performance Management, and Investor Relations to enabling functions such as Finance Change and Administration. These teams make sure we cover all Finance specific aspects for our internal and external stakeholders such as shareholder, employees, clients, and regulators. Together, it is the role of Finance to oversee all financial details for Deutsche Bank globally.

Role Description:
BAU topics –

  • Regulatory and Public disclosures in year-end and quarter-end reporting related to Balance Sheet, Group Solvency, Securitization, Asset Quality and Credit Risk
  • Ad hoc reports to regulators for the above related requests
  • Internal management reports for the above related requests
  • Responding to group regulator examinations, queries, including interacting with them on a regular basis

Change deliverables –

  • Participation in regulatory change programs to provide requirements, design solutions, test for regulatory adherence and sign-off
  • Centralizing EMEA and Americas local regulatory reporting processes with group capability
  • User sign-off on change programs related to reporting system / architecture / data
  • Product owner of regulatory reporting tools with involvement in design and testing

Accountability in the value chain –

  • End-to-end production that includes ensuring data supply, robust control framework for variance analysis and report-level adjustments, data transformation rules, QA checks, attribution analysis with supporting commentary, report distribution
  • Governance and controls over financial and risk regulatory reporting and work closely with internal and external auditors
  • Continuous improvement of production process, controls and efficiency by leveraging tactical automation, process re-engineering, organization and resources optimization
  • Providing updates to Finance Leadership on key financial results
  • Team management across locations – Pune, Frankfurt
  • Function strategy including operating model, location, risks and opportunities
  • Up to date with regulatory policy changes and providing recommendations to relevant stakeholders on potential impacts and opportunities

Collaboration with –

  • Change and Production support Technology functions to ensure appropriate system environment for report production and delivery on system change programs
  • Key stakeholders across locations in Finance, Risk, Group Strategic Analytics on regulatory deliverables, process improvement, regulatory policy changes and large regulatory change programs
  • Business stakeholders on deal-related regulatory requirements

Your Skills and Experience:
The candidate must be a highly motivated and high performing individual. He/She must be able to handle all levels of complexity in their product coverage and multitask with relative ease, especially in a sometimes stressful and fast-paced month end priority-driven environment. He/She is expected to have demonstrated experience of working with multiple teams and stakeholders in a matrix organization.

18+ years working experience (preferably in Finance / Risk teams of banks, securities firms, investment banks or professional accounting / audit firms or in a similar capacity in a GCC). Prefer knowledge of trading products, their valuations and control processes. Prior experience in a controllership role would be highly valuable.

Education / Certification:

  • Qualified Accountant- CA/CPA/ACCA/MBA / Postgraduate in Commerce / Postgraduate in pure sciences or mathematics or statistics
  • FRM / CFA desired
