Overview

Deutsche Bank’s Chief Security Office, Chief Technology Officer provides overall direction and guidance in the definition of Deutsche Bank’s current and future state enterprise security architectures. This includes developing, implementing, and maintaining processes across the organization to reduce information and information technology risks, respond to incidents, establish appropriate standards and controls, and direct the establishment and implementation of policies and procedures.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Cloud Engineer to join our team. As an GCP Cloud Engineer, you will work closely with them to design, implement, and maintain GCP cloud solutions that meet our organization’s needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, provide technical expertise, and ensure the successful deployment and management of GCP cloud infrastructure including the use of Kubernetes.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient GCP solutions

  • Design and architect GCP-based infrastructure solutions that align with industry best practices and security standards, while developing detailed technical documentation, including system diagrams, deployment procedures, and operational guidelines Provision and configure GCP resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, virtual networks, and load balancers, using Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform

  • Implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies for Azure-based applications and services and ensure the security of GCP resources and Kubernetes deployments by implementing appropriate access controls, as well as continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines for GCP-based applications using GitLab

  • Monitor the performance and health of GCP and Kubernetes resources and services, using Prisma monitoring tools, and take proactive measures to optimize performance and reliability

  • Monitor the consumption of resources and ensure they are within agreed budgets and participate in on-call rotations to provide timely response and resolution to critical incidents

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to GCP cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and application deployments

Skills You’ll Need

  • Proven experience as an GCP/Azure Cloud Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on GCP/Azure infrastructure deployment, Kubernetes, and management

  • In-depth understanding of GCP/Azure services and capabilities, including virtual machines, storage, networking, security, and monitoring

  • Experience with deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters on GCP, using tools such as Prisma

  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles in the context of GCP/Azure cloud environments

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as GitLab, DevOps, or Jenkins

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a strong attention to detail

  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work well in a team-oriented environment

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Arlington, VA office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

Deutsche Bank provides reasonable accommodations to candidates and employees with a substantiated need based on disability and/or religion.

The salary range for this position in Arlington is $100,000 to $142,250. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
