Role Description
We have set up the "Customer Analytics" Tribe in the Private Clients Bank Germany to become even more customer-friendly and at the same time more successful in terms of sales via customer-centric and digitally supported communication. In the Tribe, we are responsible for the creation and orchestration of (digital) communication with our customers for the Deutsche Bank and Postbank brands. We have deliberately opted for an agile working model in order to be able to react more flexibly to the requirements of an increasingly dynamic market environment. In finding solutions, we rely on a high level of autonomy and personal responsibility among employees as well as an interactive exchange and good cohesion within the tribe. Data-based models, digital marketing tools and maximum automation support us in providing customers with optimum assistance throughout the entire customer lifecycle and across all customer touchpoints.
Within the Tribe, the "Content & Distribution Solutions" squads deal with customer feedback as a central approach to data-driven customer centricity and derives concrete improvements from customer feedback based on a cloud-based customer feedback platform using AI-supported text analysis. We are also responsible for the internationally leading content management platform "Adobe Experience Manager" and the analytical products of the Adobe Experience Cloud (Adobe Launch, Analytics and Target) as well as the CMP platform UserCentrics. Our squads orchestrate the merging of customer Interaction Data and Social Data, enabling other squads of the tribe to develop analytical state-of-the-art models with a tailored customer approach.

Your key responsibilities
- As a Senior Engineer, you will support the Business Analysts with an eye for what is technically feasible in the evaluation of business requirements in collaboration with the Digital Sales / Digital Marketing business units, among others, and create technical specifications for the concrete requirement-specific implementations, which you will then realize yourself or pass on to the hands of an implementation team.
- In your role as Senior Engineer, you will additionally interact with the DevOps team, which acts as part of the implementation team, and ensure a division of labor in the implementation of the technical specifications you have created
- You will be in regular communication with other Senior Engineers and Developers of the Customer Analytics Tribe and actively participate in the further development of these other Engineers and Developers within Customer Analytics
- Work directly with key IT stakeholders to gather requirements, design, consider design alternatives, facilitate discussions and provide out of the box solution.
- Ensuring the knowledge sharing with the team on needs and complete ownership on the task assigned to the user.
- Should be able to envisage testing scope and create test scenarios for the developments.
- Should be able to work effectively with peer / junior team members technically, conduct code review of team members work and ensure adequate testing methods are employed at a Unit level.
- Proactively contribute to Squad ceremonies e.g. daily stand-up meeting, Retros, Backlog grooming.
- Triage production issues, co-ordinate with respective dependent teams and resolve the issues on time and with adequate quality.
Your skills and experience
- University degree in computer science / business informatics (or comparable) or comparable education as well as at least five years of professional experience in development
- Very good knowledge of web technologies, especially JavaScript development, including the ability to create JavaScript code for the backend using appropriate frameworks
- Good knowledge of the Adobe product suite: Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Launch and Adobe AEM (Content Management as a Managed Service) highly desirable, ideally with appropriate certifications
- Good knowledge and experience with Cloud CDN especially Google Cloud CDN desirable
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methods for working with Agile teams and product owners as well as enjoyment of helping to shape new tasks and processes; can-do mentality highly appreciated
- Clear and focused communication skills (verbal and written) across all levels of the organization in English – German language skills would be beneficial
- High analytical and technical capabilities
- Pro-activity: being able to create good insights in business objectives and anticipating solutions / pro-actively liaise with business stakeholders to discuss the best fit ‘technically possible versus business needs.
- Familiar with Agile Team management tools (JIRA, Confluence)
- Experience with distributed/multi-locations teams
- Comfortable working in multi-disciplinary, self-organised teams with functional stakeholders of various levels
- Able to control multiple assignments and to manage priorities
- Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment, deadlines and new challenges experience
- Ability to both collaborate with team members and to work independently
