Team
The Technology, Data & Innovation (TDI) has been established as one technology division for the bank, driving an integrated IT, data, and security agenda across the bank. The function is responsible for implementing the bank’s technology strategy focused on strengthening engineering expertise, introducing an agile delivery model, reducing administrative overheads, de-coupling assets within our IT estate for faster, cheaper deployment, as well as modernizing the bank’s IT infrastructure with long-term investments and benefiting from cloud computing.
Group Architecture (GA) division is part of TDI and plays a pivotal role in accelerating the delivery of a bank-wide simplified target architecture that enhances agility, increases technology speed-to-market, and reduces costs. To achieve these objectives, Group Architecture employs a range of activities that includes developing target architectures and roadmaps, implementing governance frameworks, deploying strategic tools, ensuring design discipline, and establishing policies and standards.
Role Description
The Architecture Strategy team within Deutsche Bank’s TDI is responsible for building of a digital architecture framework, governing a definition of a target state architecture of the bank, use of architecture standards that underpin use of data, and technologies.
In the role, of an Enterprise Data Analyst, you will be working as part of the team on a foundation for a bank wide digital architecture, architecture blueprinting, strategic architecture required changes for the bank’s CIO divisions, architecture modelling, and analysis of enterprise architecture data sets of technology infrastructure, software, processes, and operational data.
You will interact with domain business and technical architects, engineers and other technology SMEs to drive Architecture Strategy outcomes.
You will leverage your data analysis and architecture modelling experience to ensure technology blueprints are expressed in a standardized way and supported by accurate level of architecture and management information (A&MI).
Key Responsibilities
- Work with Group and Domain architects, process and data owners to define strategic digital architecture framework and definitions of target state A&MI.
- Define business requirements and testing requirements for the implementation of the digital architecture and associated framework3
- Interact with stakeholders across the technology estate, Domain and Group Architecture on subjects related to Group Architecture Strategy objectives.
- Contribute into delivery of A&MI for presentations up to a Management Board level.
- Produce high quality architecture reporting that become a standard/ guiderail across Group and Domain Architecture of the Bank.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Experience of 7+ years in the following areas:
- Data Analysis including extracting (using SQL/Python), data cleaning, preparation as well as data validation and reporting.
- Experience of Data Visualisation tools in3luding development of dashboards and story-telling with data.
- Strong knowledge of Archimate modelling language.
- Experience of defining business requirements and testing requirements.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Excel and Power Query.
- Proficient PowerPoint skills.
- Knowledge of GCP service stack and particularly BiqQuery, Looker, Dataproc and related ETL technologies, Dataflow, knowledge of Python
- Functional architecture analysis.
- Summarising complex architecture / design related challenges in simple terms for senior management consumption.
- Stakeholder influencing & communications.
- English written and verbal skills are mandatory.
Desired:
- Experience working with tools like Archi, Sparx Enterprise Architect, PowerDesigner.
- Knowledge of Data Modelling techniques such as building logical models and designing dimensional models.
- Experienced working with agile methodologies.
- Be highly articulate and persuasive communicators, with strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
