A rare opportunity to join a diverse and visible category in financial services procurement has become available, based in Bucharest, Romania. Globally, Employee Services encompasses everything from pensions to health, contingent labour to graduate recruitment, permanent screening to training and employee gifts and sports. Currently, we are recruiting for a self-driven and innovative individual to support the rapidly growing coverage of procurement in this category, focused on Global Benefits but with broad experience of the HR category.
Role Description
- Leads complex negotiations whilst managing matrixed internal stakeholders
- Manages sourcing deals, driving the supplier selection and the negotiation process for products across all non-IT categories.
- Carrying out market analysis and tenders to select suppliers for products, services, and strategic projects.
- Builds and maintains a robust understanding of the client’s business strategy, key drivers, and current issues to inform the development of product/service implementation strategies that will meet client needs, and which reflect external market trends, competition considerations, macro-economic factors and DB strategic direction.
- Lead and support the development of annual and medium-term strategic plans, in collaboration with clients and colleagues, for all new sourcing projects, ensuring savings are built into budgets and the annual operating plan.
- Identifies specific sourcing projects/initiatives for the year including expected savings, resource requirements and associated timescales for completion.
- Leads the execution and supports the development of Category-based sourcing processes for assessing and fulfilling current and future sourcing needs, acting as process owner and champion for the strategic sourcing and consumption management processes in their area of category spend.
- Executes strategies to extract supply-side savings and manage demand-side consumption in order to lower the Bank’s Total Cost of Ownership for external spend as it relates to the specified category.
- Highlights operational, regulatory, and other risks to the category lead and Category Head. Takes ownership for sourcing issues and actively participates in their resolution.
- Leads the implementation of innovative business change solutions, including DB wide initiatives.
- Collaborates with the wider Global Procurement team including, Service Delivery Management and Contract managers and supplier relationship teams to review the performance of strategic partners and local vendors against service, price, quality and innovation dimensions. Works with the wider team to identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives that deliver both incremental and step change in performance targeting areas such as TCO reductions, process effectiveness, supplier management and performance measurement.
- Continually reviews the category and industry environment to gather insights, develops knowledge artefacts and shares with key stakeholders and team/colleagues.
Your skills and experience
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university (or equivalent)
Relevant experience in procurement, including managing complex sourcing projects. Having knowledge of Employee Services category with focus on the Benefits category beneficial
Able to work in virtual, global teams in a dual reporting matrix organisation.
Exposure to a broad range of client groups and business challenges.
Experience in complex commercial and contractual negotiations
Strong interpersonal skills, able to work in virtual, global teams in a dual reporting matrix organization.
Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (written and verbal), German is beneficial.
