Profile:
The Business Analyst will be the bridge between business needs and technical solutions by analysing the business requirements and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and helping implement solutions that drive operational efficiency and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders and IT teams to gather, document, and analyse detailed requirements for software solutions.
- Technical Documentation: Create clear and detailed documentation, including business requirements, user stories, and system specifications.
- Solution Design and Validation: Work closely with developers to design software solutions that meet business needs and validate those solutions through testing and user feedback.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a bridge between users and technical teams, facilitating effective communication and ensuring all parties are aligned.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and optimize software development processes, incorporating feedback and adjusting to changing market conditions or user needs.
- Production Support: Assess production incidents, investigate causes, and provide solutions whenever possible, as well as analysing errors and identifying solutions to fix them.
What we are looking for:
- Capital Markets Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of capital markets, trading platforms, and financial products (e.g., equities, derivatives) with an experience of at least 3 years working in capital markets, either directly or as part of an IT team supporting financial services.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), system integration, APIs and data architecture with hands-on experience and familiarity with trading systems or financial software.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to translate business needs into technical requirements and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Experience working closely with traders, developers, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment would be a plus.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in troubleshooting complex system issues to identify and resolve challenges in software development and deployment, ensuring smooth operation for end-users.
- Agile Methodology: Proficient in Agile practices, including writing user stories, participating in sprints, and adapting to changing requirements. Experience of 2-3 years working in Agile teams, preferably in the financial services sector, with a focus on delivering iterative software solutions, ensuring it adapts quickly to changing requirements.
- Fluent in English: Mandatory to be fluent in English in order to effectively communicate complex ideas and technical details both verbally and in writing.
- Autonomous: Self-motivated and flexibility to work autonomously and drive projects forward without requiring constant supervision, coupled with ability to work in virtual teams and matrix/global organizations including appreciation of different cultures during collaborating and sharing
