TDI – Technology Data and Innovation

Technology, Data and Innovation (TDI) is responsible for implementing the bank’s technology strategy focused on strengthening engineering expertise, introducing an agile delivery model, reducing administrative overheads, de-coupling assets within our IT estate for faster, cheaper deployment, as well as modernizing the bank’s IT infrastructure with long-term investments and benefiting from cloud computing. Goal is to guarantee stability of the applications, execute proactive monitoring, deliver projects, deploy technology and digital solutions in a substantially more comprehensive manner across the bank.

Your Role

As Engineer (L3 support), you’ll work closely with IT Application Owner (ITAO) and you will be an engineer responsible for developing and delivering elements of engineering solutions to accomplish business goals. Awareness is expected of the important engineering principles of the Bank. Root cause analysis skills are developed through addressing enhancements and fixes to products. They attempt to build reliability and resiliency into solutions through early testing, peer reviews and automating the delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that the changes to the applications in scope are fully aligned Deutsche Bank standards and regulations.
  • Identify IT Risk and control related gaps based on the knowledge of application and Deutsche Bank policies.
  • Interfacing with internal and external IT Audits and contributing to the audit activities.
  • Ensure availability of application documentation as per Deutsche Bank's processes
  • Manage applications development, configuration, monitoring, packaging and deployment.
  • Identify, manage, document and communicate risks and issues discovered during software delivery cycle.
  • Manage software licenses, security certificates and contracts with service providers.
  • Set up and maintain different environments for development, testing and production, including software upgrades.
  • Identify and manage technical projects necessary to ensure that adequate service levels are maintained.
  • Perform the strategic application planning, application lifecycle management and manage the delivery of the application releases and fixes.
  • Provide application Level 3 support, manage incident and related resolution.

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • Knowledge of system design, development, implementation, and user support principles and practices
  • Knowledge of Application Architectures (eg. Batch services, Microservices, API layers, Glue2G etc.)
  • Knowledge of development languages (Java, Hibernate, Spring, PL/SQL etc.)
  • Knowledge of DevOPS (build, deploy, code versioning and promote) and SDLC tools (eg. Artifactory, Bitbucket, GIThub, Maven, Jira, Confluence etc.)
  • Knowledge and provable experience of midrange technologies (API, REST/SOAP protocols, Business Works, JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, OpenShift etc.)
  • Provable experience and knowledge of database systems (Oracle, etc.)
  • Familiar with Project management principles
  • Profound analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Pro-active and flexible working approach
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) and Italian.
