Overview of Corporate Coverage COO team
The Corporate Coverage COO team comprises of individuals supporting functions like CAO, Business Management and Business Controls in global and regional roles. The scope of the activities is diverse and includes strategic business planning, sales/revenue/client analytics, financial control and reporting tasks, headcount management, compensation matters and control function liaison.
Role Description
This role is to hire a key asset in the Corporate Coverage Business Management team to manage the core topics of Cost and Headcount/FTE by taking ownership of activities around planning/budgeting, forecasting, deep dives for targeted savings and managing service relationship costs.

Your key responsibilities
- Provide strategic and analytical support to the Global COO of Corporate Coverage as part of the Business Management team of Corporate Coverage.
- Ownership of monthly Headcount/FTE & Cost Forecasting process for Corporate Coverage.
- Ownership of in-depth analysis of monthly financials by the preparation of business/product specific reports, or analysis of ready reports, to understand cost performance against plan.
- Support the global & regional COOs to manage the annual 5-year planning/budgeting cycle and to submit the FTE and Cost Plans.
- Manage the cost allocation by Corporate Coverage to other CB & IB product businesses in the bank and also analyze costs allocated to Corporate Coverage by other functions in the bank.
- Proactive cost management by driving cost-deep dives, targeted cost savings initiatives and cost control/monitoring tasks.
- Actively drive the items for Corporate Coverage during the Feb/May/Aug Restatements & Restructuring (R&R) cycles and collaborate with Finance to achieve all objectives.
- Support projects/work streams/short assignments and ad-hoc requests made to Corporate Coverage Business Management and actively steer them towards deadlines and outcomes.
- Engage and maintain strong links with other members of the Corporate Bank Business Management community.
Your skills and experience
- Relevant experience in finance and/or business management/analyst roles will be a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and ability to learn new internal applications as and when needed.
- Knowledge of Tableau, BCS/GGL, SAP BW & SAP R/3 is a plus.
- Understanding of financials (P&L, Balance sheet & key metrics) needed for management reporting & analytics.
- Cost management is an integral part of the role hence knowledge of cost categories and analysis is desired.
- Desire to work in a fast paced, challenging and multi-cultural environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and multi-task with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to converse clearly with Global/Regional Product COOs and other senior stakeholders.
