Join Deutsche Bank Luxembourg’s Controls Testing and Assurance (CT&A) team as Compliance Testing Officer. CT&A is a key pillar in Deutsche Bank’s risk management framework, working in close partnership with Compliance and Anti Financial Crime in assessing the design adequacy and operating effectiveness of the Bank’s controls. As part of the team, you will conduct control testing to provide assurance on the Bank’s adherence to applicable laws, rules and regulations. You will work directly with the business as a key partner in driving control improvements and collaborate with other CT&A teams during cross jurisdictional reviews. As part of a truly international team, your input during exchanges with CT&A colleagues from across the globe will be highly recognized.
Responsibilities
- Undertake testing activities in the country according to deadlines agreed and the standards defined in the global testing framework.
- Perform regular operational effectiveness testing on controls managing Compliance risks.
- Proactively engage with the business to agree issues and remediation actions resulting out of testing activities.
- Communicate testing results via high quality reports and track issues and actions to completion.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels and working relationships with the relevant stakeholders in the business and other control functions (e.g. Internal Audit, COO, Risk, etc.) to ensure a coordinated approach and effective resolution of issues.
Skills
- Good knowledge of the banking/ financial markets business, its rules and regulations in Europe and Luxembourg and deep understanding of compliance and financial crime risks.
- 4+ years of experience gained from Compliance, Anti Financial Crime, Audit, Risk or other types of regulatory background within the financial services industry.
- Excellent writing, communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to describe complex issues clearly and succinctly in ways that are easily understandable by others.
- Proactive, organized and independent approach, seeking to find the right solution within a matrix management framework.
- Language skills: Proficiency in English, German or French language skills are a plus.
The successful candidate will be asked to present a recent criminal record.
