Deutsche Banks’ Corporate Bank occupies a leading global position in Corporate Cash Management, Trade Finance & Lending (TF&L) and Institutional Cash & Investor Services for corporate clients and financial institutions. TF&L is of importance in the development and global provision of tailor-made financing solutions.

Cross Product Structuring (CPS) is a dedicated structuring and product development group tasked with identifying, developing, structuring and executing non-vanilla client situations and tailored products across TF&L. CPS has a global mandate with budget responsibilities and work in close cooperation with structuring teams in corresponding TF&L areas, Corporate Coverage, 2nd Line of Defence (LoDs) and product-management. You will be responsible for further developing and operationalizing future TF&L product ideas, supporting optimization of TF&L resources through Alternative & Portfolio De-risking beyond existing distribution setups.

Key responsibilities

  • Focus within CPS in Alternative & Portfolio De-risking to lead, develop and execute highly scalable derisking and funding solutions via retained/synthetic securitisations and repacks to achieve higher TF&L Shareholder value added
  • Independent origination and end-to-end execution of portfolio solutions, addressing diverse TF&L needs & enhance profitability
  • Develop risk partnership strategy for CPS/TF&L by bringing strong experience and connectivity with institutional clients (Asset Managers/family-office investors) to identify currently untapped base in strategic alignment with TF&L management
  • Private-side front-office 1st-LoD employee with End2End-responsbility including pricing, economic risk analyses, reg/accounting assessments, documentation, DB-internal coordination (New product approval/new transaction approval), corresponding executions

Skills and experience

  • Demonstrated experience as structurer in Structured Credit/Finance, Interest Rates, Foreign Exchange, Commodities of a global bank with Profit & Loss responsibility, with a track record across asset classes & instruments
  • Execution experience in Asset Backed Securities-type areas, such as development, structuring under European (EU)/United States (US) securitization regulations, New Product/Transaction approval, external ratings, documentation and internal processes
  • Strong commercial acumen through understanding client/market problems, proactively tackling challenges, seizing opportunities as they arise
  • Extensive understanding of bank/client accounting standards, relevant EU/US regulations, quantitative risk assessment, credit, and macro-risk pricing and understanding The Bank’s financial resource management
  • High motivation, entrepreneurial skills in dealing with internal/external stakeholders, working independently; excellent teamwork and communication skills
