DSM Payments Investigations team

The Corporate Bank Technology team have an established Digital Service Manager – Payments Investigations program (DSM PI) to implement a new transformational platform which will provide digital customer service experience where customers can interact with ease and simplicity. Delivery of DSM PI functionality will transform customer experience by providing omni-channel capability, quality of information, real-time interactions with the bank, self-servicing, deliver optimized business processes, API’s linking to back-end systems, robotics and machine learning to facilitate improvements in processes. The program will transform the way clients and internal users interact with each other by delivering automation, reducing client onboarding and service turnaround times, all with the aim of protecting and growing the business.

The DSM PI team is looking to hire engineers to join the development team. The Engineer proposes the design and architecture of the application, its components, investigates and proposes appropriate technologies to be used, creates re-usable frameworks, and drives standardization where possible. The team lead manages delivery of other members of the team and assigns their work where applicable. All engineers within the team will be required to develop and implement high quality code aimed at achieving the desired business outcomes.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead a team of high-performance full stack and test automation engineers to deliver features following an Agile software development life cycle (Agile SDLC).
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to convert high-level requirements to user stories having well defined acceptance criteria and ensure that the features your team develops are protected via feature-flags and delivered to production via a continuous integration/continuous deployment or development (CI/CD) pipeline at the end of each sprint.
  • Provide capable end to end solutions by taking complete ownership.
  • Participate in the end-to-end product life cycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, and implementation.
  • Design and develop solutions (configuration and development) in accordance with requirements and feature definitions, and in line with the overall architecture direction of the DSM programme and DB standards.
  • Lead engineering activities to make sure that consistent high-quality products are developed.

Your skills and experiences

  • Expert in Design/Develop self-contained RESTful Microservices, Springboot, Java programming and Java-based web application development.
  • MS/APIs - Knowledge of APIGee, Kakfa, Java, Aurora, Cassandra, Springboot, swagger, microservices, Sleuth, log4J.
  • Expert hand-on experience in developing User Interfaces with modern frameworks and tooling with a focus on Typescript/React (with React hooks) and tooling including HTML/CSS/JS/ /NodeJS/state management/web security & performance.
  • UI development expertise, NPM, ReactJs, Redux, Jest, AngularJS, HTML5, Javascript, JQuery and CSS
  • Enterprise Integration Solutions (Apache Camel, Tibco ESB, IBM MQ, Mulesoft or Informatica)
  • Experience in Oracle and strong knowledge of SQL and relational database.
  • Domain knowledge of payments investigations is a huge plus.
  • English language level from Intermediate and higher, strong communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
