Role Description

• This role is for a Senior Developer responsible for developing and unite testing a multi-tier metadata management cloud system. The candidate is expected to work closely with the Platform Owner to oversee software solutions for the product and ensure good quality software is delivered.
• The candidate should have a strong technical background and direct experience in one or all of the following, Metadata management, Data Governance, Data Management, Collibra, Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The candidate needs to be hands on and be able to work independently requiring minimal guidance. Should be able to mentor junior resources in the team. Work closely with team members and vendor team (Collibra) to lay functional specifications for the software product and to define and own business roadmap for the product. Should have good communication skill and strong positive outlook.

Your key responsibilities

• Hands-on software development
• Should be able to contribute towards good software design
• System configuration.
• Thorough testing of developed software
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings
• Articulate issues and risks to management in timely manner
• Train other team members to bring them up to speed
• Analyse software defects and fix them in timely manner
• Work closely with Functional Analysis and Quality Assurance teams

Your skills and experience

Must have

• Strong technical knowledge and experience in Groovy scripting and/or Java programming language
• Sound knowledge of REST API calls, concepts, and programming
• Sound knowledge in Python programming.
• Understanding of Spring-boot
• Creating workflows
• Metamodel experience
• Good experience in unit testing technologies
• System configuration experience
• Should have worked on basic SQL queries
• Demonstrated agile experience
• Good documentation skills

Nice to have

• Exposure to data governance tools like Collibra
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Google Data Catalog
• Experience in Fabric servers/Kubernetes
